Good luck Bosda, keep us updated
Get that damn tumor, then keep it in a jar on your desk & lord your power over it!
In other words, kick its’ ass, man. Good luck.
Hey, that’s a good idea, actually. Something to scare the grandkids with later on, ya know? And if the boss is ever giving you a hard time, just whip that jar right out and wave it 'round in his face, and see how long it takes before he bolts for the bathroom.
Fingers crossed, mate. Sounds like you’ve caught it pretty early on which is good news.
I know you don’t have results, but how did the test go? They stuck a tube down my nose twice - not into my lungs, but into my stomach. For me the tests were uncomfortable, but not painful.
Good luck, dude.
They ain’t taking out the tumor, just doing a biopsy.
Sorry about the delay. I keep my home computer in my basement, & the after-effects of the sedation made it impossible to negotiate the stairs.
Well. They made me sit around all day, twiddling my thumbs.
Then they hooked up the IV, & wheeled me into the exam room.
They used a syringe-like thing to squirt liquid lidocaine up my nose. Then, the coated a swab with gelled lidocaine, stuck it up my nose, & left it there. I joked that if they hung a little flag off the end of it, I was leaving then & there. Repeat for the left nostril, except I asked if they were going to hang one of those little paper umbrellas from tropical drinks on the end.
Vaporized Lidocaine to inhale, & an injection into my IV.
I remember most of what happened except when the stuck the probe in.
Spent most of the day in recovery, & my Dad drove me home in the pouring rain.
I’ve been taking things easy since.
Results on Tuesday at earliest.
BTW–one nurse/technician suggested it might be an abcess. Well, they must see a lot of them, so maybe.
Oh boy, I hope so.
It might be a good sign that the nurse/technician said that. (But then again, what do I know?) Sometimes these people “suggest” things that they know usually are the case, but they can’t get your hopes up by saying that they are pretty sure (even though they are). But then again, what do I know?
Here’s all sorts of good thoughts, wishes, and prayers in your direction. No matter what the news, it’s good that you are obviously a fighter. I see your future as being bright.
Adding our names to the list of well-wishers and good-thought-senders.
Be well.
Best,
karol & Todd
I am so sorry, I can relate to how you feel with “abandoness” my mother has been there, and is still living it. God be with you.

Woohoo! That would be great news. More warm thoughts!
Still keeping the good thoughts and positive vibes coming. This community is behind you, Bosda.
Bosda, thinking good thoughts in your direction from Georgia.
Absolutely! Never underestimate the power of stubbornness. My grandfather is one stubborn mule, and he by all odds should have been dead 15 years ago of multiple myeloma (another form of cancer - the docs said his had something like a 15% five-year survival rate). He is very much alive, cancer-free, and as full of piss and vinegar as ever.
So no matter how awful it is, you can kick its ass.
First time I saw this thread - good luck Bosda. I have been reading threads about your luck for a while now… I really hope that this thing is over with quickly, and wish you a quick recovery. I’ll be reading and sending you good thoughts.
Hang in there, Bosda. Been watching this thinking good thoughts.
Another thread-watcher sending good thoughts southward from the Hoosier state…
I think it’s a tootsie roll.
Best of luck, and good wishes.

I go to the Doc’s at 11:45, Tuesday.
Results later that day.
I keep thinking that if it was something of dire concern, or something they weren’t sure they could handle quite easily, you wouldn’t be kept waiting like you are.
Good luck.
