Ok, I gotta fess up. After posting, I discovered a container of white mystery powder in the kitchen. :o It didn’t taste or mix like flour, so I can only assume it was corn starch. It has been discarded, but then I noticed an unopened jar of mayo in the pantry. I had bought a larger jar, which I use to restock the squeeze bottle. So I actually have three containers of mayo. My kitchen has officially been sucked back into reality.
Strange visitors (not MY kids) keep leaving 1/8 tblsp of food in largest container available with top not quite on so that 1/8 tblsp of food dries out into pebble of brown that no one wishes to touch. One child seen attempting to throw large container away when her turn came to clean out refrigerator.
Butter knife must be left in almost empty mayo jar so that mom will really be pissed.
Mystery people (again, not MY kids) leave small sip of beverage in glass on counter or (aaargh) in refrigerator for mom to accidently knock over since rule in home is NOT to do this and mom (in vain) believed that rule would be followed.
does this apply?
whatever is taken out of the fridge to be consumed will be greatly desired by and begged for by the family pet (usually the furry 4 legged kind, but reptiles may do in a pinch)
