Camdeb Tup’s pretty good, if colonised by wankers from Food Records (Parlophone? They certainly used to treat it as a local). Certainly handy for me, although I may be landed with a rotten peach of a job in Slough that week so can’t say for sure if I can make it yet.
Have been recommended a place called The Two Brewers (Monmouth Street, Covent Garden) as a decent “normal” pub, plan to test it this Sunday with some mates - I shall report. Also has the benefit of being round the corner from Freud’s, an underground dive whose claim to fame is that they serve a very generous pint of cocktail for a fiver.
Reading on the 17th possible, but given that I’m only back from Warrington on the 16th I doubt another public transport trek will be that enticing…

I’ve drunk in The Two Brewers twice - nothing terribly memorable. Know where Freud’s is, but I’ve never been in. You’ve now got me intregued about the place.
