Stepfather accused of putting vodka through ailing boy’s feeding tube.
If anything’s worthy of a pile-on, this is it.

Yeah I read that a few minutes ago. .59 blood alcohol, fucking insane. I pray they get this kid away from his parents, double time.
I saw that story and couldn’t believe it! The kid won’t sleep, and this seemed like the reasonable solution? Poor kid, it wasn’t enough he was born with physical defects, now he’s going to have brain damage to top it all off.
Here’s a story that’s a bit more detailed. Note that the stepfather had begun drinking at 10:30 that morning, and that a neighbor claims that they were discussing adopting more kids!
bella
What that guy did to that child is inexcusable and unbelievably stupid. He has every ass-reaming he can get coming to him while he is in jail. I can’t believe the child survived that. From the article belladonna they mentioned the following: * “…a typical man weighing 150 pounds would have to drink 25 shots containing 1 ounce of 96-proof liquor, or 20 beers, in one hour to have a blood-alcohol level as high as the boy’s…” * It make me sick just thinking of that much booze and I like beer.
However, what got me in both articles and pisses me off nearly as much is the bit about the medical insurance she was using refusing to pay for her son’s medication. What the fuck are those bastards thinking? It’s a seven year old child for chrissakes! This isn’t Ritalin or some shit like that but medically necessary medicne for a kidd with what sounds like a pretty serious condition!
Fucking assholes…all of them!
Am I the only one that thinks this was an attempt at euthanasia?
I don’t think it was an attempt on euthaniasia…
I just think the father was being a stupid fuck!
Course I could be wrong given that the boy suffers without his medication…
I don’t think it was an attempt to euthanise (sp?) but instead an alcoholic’s attempt to solve a problem in the manner he knew best. How sad, the kid’s already born with heart and liver problems and that’s just what the alcohol attacks.
Plus his brain.
that is insane…and I was depressed last night…there are so many people less fotunate then myself…
I feel sad for the boy - cuz he suffers no matter what…
blessing to the whole family …they need some serious help!!!
woops - typo on that one -
It may not have been the insurance company’s shortfall. The article says it’s a state-sponsored program. You have to work with those people, and they probably didn’t try. Couldn’t make payments, and instead of appealing to the insurance administration for a hardship rate, they simply let it go.
IANAInsurance broker, of course.
Or did you mean the parents were the bastards, for not doing what I said above. In which case, I fully agree.
