I did think of taking the really tiny snowflake mold and making tiny royal icing flavored with peppermint snowflakes, and then taking the maple leaf mold and making marzipan maple leaves and airbrushing them in autumn colors and embedding the snowflake in the top surface for a Bujold list meet up nosh. Or maybe covering the top of the leaf with gold leaf and embedding the snowflake in the top.
I think that umeboshi paste might be nice with marzipan - the salty sour plum would go well with the sweet almond - at least I think it would.
I am going to make ma’moun with red bean paste filling in the lotus molds this coming weekend, I just have to get around to making the red bean paste.
