Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Rings, due out a week before Christmas. The other two should be out Christmas 2002 and 2003, respectively.
Star Wars: Episode II is currently filming and is due out next Spring. I’d like to see Episode IX with Mark Hamill as an older, paunchy Luke Skywalker.
You do realise that Episodes I - III occur before the original trilogy? Luke isn’t even conceived yet in Episode II.
I’m not even a StarWars geek, and I knew that.
There is only one movie that I am waiting to see…
The last of them, too, which is sad…
“Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back” is due out on August 24. (Which ironically is a very significant day for me, so I’ll have something fun to do at the end of a bad day.) Yup, no more Jay and Silent Bob movies after this. Kevin Smith said he’s retiring the trenchcoat. He will still be writing and directing, but this is a bow-out for the characters.
Oh, and on a side note, TheNerd, the OP refers to Star Wars Nine (IX) which would make perfect sense for Mark Hamill to play a Methusalah aged Luke Skywalker. (insert a smily here, I’m not cool enough to be able to do it yet.)
There are lots of movies I’m planning on seeing:
“Evolution”: Out this Friday. Never really planned on seeing it, but now I am because it looks worthy enough for me to see it.
“A.I.”: I often wonder what this movie would have been like if Stanley Kubrick stayed alive to make it.
“Planet of the Apes”: Hey, it’s Tim Burton, what can I say. It won’t have the cheesyness that only Charlton Heston can provide, but I’m willing to forgive that sacrifice.
“Cats Vs. Dogs”: Another kids movie that looks funny to me, like “Shrek”. The only bad part of seeing kids movies are the actual kids in the theatre. Oh, well.
“Harry Potter”: THE movie I’m looking forward to. Have been ever since I first heard it was coming out, like nine months ago or even furthur back.
“Lord of the Rings”: It just looks cool.
(and of course “Star Wars Episode II”, but I’m only thinking of 2001 movies)
