I am awed by the blinding ignorance of our co-nominees for Anti-Doper of the year. Updike definitely takes the award this time around. Mainly because of it’s tendency to climb right on the cross at the first sign of trouble.
I do want to make one correction to a statement made by Updike:
About 50% of the US used to support President Bush. Now it’s closer to 35%, with Arnold Schwarzenegger and several other prominent politicans taking severe blows in the election a few days ago.

I must disagree with you on this one. I don’t think Updike is a coward. Whining, whinging, or otherwise. I think you nailed it from the beginning: He really is too thick to understand what he is being pitted for. He still thinks this is a high school put-down contest. The subtleties of the actual, you know, issues are just beyond his grasp.
