I got all of my relevant tax documents on 1/18/03. I filed that day (using TaxActOnline, which I highly recommend) and had my refund direct deposited to my bank account on 1/30/03. All $1,847.00 of it.
Unfortunately, I’m in fear of losing my job, so I’m afraid to spend it on anything quite yet.
Well, I just spent 20 minutes on the phone with Georgia trying to figure out what I needed to do…I still don’t think it looks right, but at least I’ll have the phone bill to prove I called and talked to somebody. Reduced my GA refund by about $80 though grumble.
But it’s done. I’ll make my copies of the Georgia forms tomorrow and drop them in the mail. The Federal ones I already have copies of, so I took them downstairs and dropped them in.
I want a check for both of mine rather than direct deposit because I’ll be dividing them between several accounts this year…and if I have it all put into the checking account, I’ll spend it before I realize it.
Here is a question. She worked for three temp agencies over the course of last year. One of those temp agencies went out of business last March. She will get a W-2 from them won’t she? If she doesn’t, then what should we do? She probably worked about 3 weeks with them all together.
Got my W-2’s on 1-27, filed with TurboTax 1-28 from my brother’s computer, refund will be direct deposited on or about 2-7. I am going to buy a new computer so I can get back online…the library computers aren’t available at midnight! See you all again soon!
I just got the final 1099 that I needed and finished them up about five minutes ago. I just need to print them out and mail them. Nice refund this year.
Did my mother’s first since she already had her W-2’s… few dyas later I finished mine, Telefile both fed and state. Wahoo-- refund, which will go directly to a friend to whom I owe money.
