US Midterm Election watch along thread

I will expect both of you to be equally as happy and as enthusiastic the next time that a far-left minor candidate tips a high-profile race to the GOP.

It’s literally happened in two presidential elections in my lifetime…

Why would I do that? I’m rooting for the Democrats. But the last time that happened during a presidential election, I didn’t blame the system, I blamed the fuckheads who voted for Ralph Nader.

CNN reporting from Dr. Oz headquarters in Pennsylvania. Nobody is there. “As of now, the party’s shut down,” said the CNN reporter.

Dangnabbed razzlefrazing* spoiler Betsy Johnson

*edited to match P&E rather than Pit sensibilities.

It’s happened enough to the Dems that I’m damn happy it’s happening to a GOP candidate tonight. No way will I be happy when a Pub candidate wins.

LOL, that was pretty cute.

AP still hasn’t. But if a news organization has the guts to call it now I hope they know enough, or at least more than I do.

In any case, tell the Jersey quack to go back where he came from. And get ready for the lawsuits and the bloviating from the Orange Menace.

You’ve got an idiot Johnson out there in Oregon? We’ve got one too, over here in Wisconsin!

What’s the explanation for AP already calling the Hawaii governor race? Is Josh Green unopposed? I’m not finding information.

There’s still a hangover about MSNBC being a “liberal” news source, but that reputation is really misplaced. Steve Kornacki is an amazing statistician for watching election results. I don’t think MSNBC has ever had to retract a result they’ve called that I can recall, so I’m pretty confident in this call.

CNN just now projecting Fetterman in Pennsylvania.

Bummer about Evan McMullin in Utah, but I suppose it was too much to hope for.

Your proposed cure of “not allowing people to vote for the candidate of their choice” seems worse than the disease.

CBS did the same, as did MSNBC.

MSNBC right now has the House 219-216 in favor of the GOP.

Plus or minus 13.

Yep, now it’s 218-217. One helluva lot closer than I thought it would be.

Fetterman is speaking!

Fetterman about to speak. Live on CNN; probably other sources too.

Yeah, probably around 225-230 seats for the GOP or so when all is said and done. Could have been worse.

And the Senate comes down to AZ (stuck at about 50% reporting forEVER) and NV (who knows…). With a Georgia runoff in December.

Damn politics…
