Us Navy On The Move to the Straits of Hormuz??

Anyone able to offer a different, credible source to this:

The author of the article is Chris Hedges, former Middle East bureau chief for The New York Times.

I make no claims of accuracy, reputation and/or validity for the web site where the article is found, nor is this a political debate issue. It is merely a GQ question to find out if other media sources can corroborate the information.

Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group Deploys: http://www.military.com/features/0,15240,116005,00.html

The article doesn’t give much on where they’re all heading though:

The origin of this story is from Time magazine a few weeks ago, the September 18th issue:

Combine that with the story that Karl Rove has quietly promised an “October surprise” (and it sure wasn’t Mark Foley) and people are speculating…

Could the Eisenhower be headed to Korea? North Korea’s been making lots of waves recently. In fact, just this morning, they said that further criticism of their nuclear program might be considered an act of war. I suppose that this could be the “October Surprise,” except that I really can’t imagine Kim Jong-Il would start a war just to help the Republicans get re-elected.

The USS Enterprise Strike Group is in the northern Arabian Sea now.
