He won’t be able to explain it to you, because it is an issue that is a very divisive, polarizing issue. But there is a solution. He thinks he has that solution, and nobody else does. He’s going to be working on that.
And he’s done a very good job, too. He’s very happy with himself. But it’s been a very tough issue for the two sides, there’s no question about that.
So all he would have had to do to make his vote make a difference was round up 9,999 of his friends and go vote and he didn’t do that. What a slacker.
Well, sure. What kind of loner do you have to be not to be able to round up at least ten thousand friends?
You’re not being fair. It’s only 4999 of his closest friends. The margin was 10k so only 5k votes had to flip, after all.
And who can’t find 4999 people to go along with them?
Not sure that would insure it. Even in the most tightest of partisan social circles there would surely be some people you call that you can’t really be too sure about.
