US. The freest country in the world. Really?

Generally, your so-called freedom is nothing but B.S. You may brag about it. Only you do not have any of it. Freedom is like other people’s women. They may be beautiful. … Very very beautiful. But do you really have one?

In most parts of the world, a high score in economics freedom may mean you cannot fight the big boys in their games. Can you build another successful fast food chain of your own, or start a great software company? If not, how much freedom do you really have?

Then, when we talk about religious freedom, it only means you have the right to surrender yourself to a man in the disguise of god. If the religion says women are 2nd rate, you can’t eat this, you can’t eat that, you have the right to take it. I prefer to see religious freedom a medieval relic.

Then the political freedom is not yours you have the right to vote and LIVE UP WITH ALL THE CONSEQUENCES EVEN IF IT’S OTHER PEOPLE’S CHOICE.

They give you a vote so you can’t easily take back the delegated power even if you don’t like it.

They give you a vote so you have to face other millions of people who voted for the one you really hated the most when things go really really wrong.

Do you want the freedom to practice appendectomy on yourself?

Now if you know that the election will give you a f****** a****** who’s gonna s**** up your country and you will all suffer for decades to come, do you still want a vote?

If you don’t talk about responsibilities, you don’t deserve to talk about freedom.

Seems to me that #2 is what perpetuates #1. Eternal vigilance, and all that.

There are all sorts of measures of freedom and a lot of subjectivity is involved. In terms of freedom from having self-appointed spokespersons for a neighboring country constantly saying “Hey! We’re just as good as you! Or better! You’re not paying enough attention to us! Look at us! Hey! Hey!” - well, the U.S. ranks low in freedom on that score.

And we don’t tolerate no “compromization” here. Lousy comprommie.
