USA Election Watch 2026

El-Sayed is giving a victory speech, though the race hasn’t been called yet.

Last paragraph of your link:

Meanwhile, power in Washington was already shifting. The likely next chair of the House Oversight Committee, who has been gearing up for massive probes into the Trump administration, issued a two-word statement Tuesday addressed to administration officials and the “Trump Crime Family.”

“Lawyer up,” Rep. Robert Garcia of California said.

True, but the Rogers campaign did tell people at their victory party to go home a short time ago. It was played off as a “we won’t no anything for hours” type of thing.

And Victoria Spartz goes down in Indiana’s Fifth District. J.D. Ford will be the state’s first openly gay congressperson.

OK, I’m watching him give a victory speech on a network that hasn’t called for him yet.

As of the past few minutes (it’s 1:37am ET), The Hill has called it for El-Sayed.

Risch (R) retains in ID.

Brad Finstad (R) narrowly wins MN 1 (my district), this is a very red district.
My state senator and rep also stay R, though the state rep just north of me is DFL, not sure if that is a flip.

Yay! Now, it is up to AK and Nebraska. NE does not look good, but this has been such a weird election- great, yes, but still weird.

I hope the Democrats will skip any Impeachments unless they think they have the votes in the Senate.

54% in AK, Peltota and Sullivan tied.

AK now effectively tied with 54.3% of the vote in.

The meat for my enchiladas is ready and I’ve got the gravy simmering on the stovetop.

I suppose I can turn off the news now.

I’m drinking Sierra Nevada, Blue Moon and Pacifico. Only 3 or 4 of each. Got stuff to do tomorrow…

Oh, you meant… Nevermind.

I think he meant MT.

Very good night! Couple of neck in neck races still, like Nebraska and Alaska.

Looks like the tide is turning. Now if they decide to impeach the orange felon shitgibbon, they can actually follow through with consequences.

Hold up, is Blississippi actually still possible?

Major props to Chuck Schumer, who called out Colon as a promising race and diverted funds and effort to Mississippi.

Sadly there were too many redneck in redneck races in certain states, such as Georgia.

Very good night? I congratulate you on your use of understatement.

It would not be an overstatement to call tonight’s results historic. It would not be hyperbolic to say that tonight literally saved this country. It was such a blowout that the Monster can’t claim cheating. It defied every attempt to ratfuck the results.

I’ll be in awe of what happened tonight for a long time. But we can’t waste it. The Democrats have been given as clear a mandate as ever was to DO SOMETHING. They need to follow through, and it can’t just be trying to impeach everyone and settle scores.

This is a historic shallacking. The last time there was a turnaround this big was the post Watergate midterms in 1974 (according to Nate Silver)
