USA Election Watch 2026

Shah (D) is leading the AZ District 1 house race over Feely (R), 54.86% to 43.26%.
74% reporting.

In the NY Times:

In Adam Hamilton’s Senate win in Kansas, two counties in the western part of the state — Finney and Seward — shifted around 50 percentage points to the left. Both are majority-Hispanic counties and are home to a large number of meat packing plants. The area is known as the Golden Triangle of Meat Packaging.

50 points!!!

Not without getting multiple Republican Senators to vote to convict. The GOP will have at least 42 seats in the next Senate, and it takes 67 votes in the Senate to convict on an impeachment.

(Edit: I corrected myself, as I’d initially written it takes 60.)

Actually, it takes 67.

Your post was simultaneous with me correcting my post.

Great minds think alike.

Nitpick: it’s Colom.

The AP hasn’t updated the counts there in quite while. Still a 28-vote lead.

In CO-04, Boebert continues to trail, now by 1.6 percentage points with 80% vote in.

54.3% of AK is in

Petola (D): 78,961 - 48.1%
Dan S. Sullivan (R): 78,709 - 48.0%

One of the Independents is Daniel J Sullivan Jr with 2,693 - 1.6%
This is the basis of a potential lawsuit.

The Republicans did the same thing with a House race in Texas and it probably cost the Dems the seat there.

Fuck, until my autocorrect learns his name that’s gonna be a recurring problem.

Never let anyone tell you that your vote doesn’t matter!

Let the chads dangle.

Anyone notice that Alabama has its first trans legislator?

From another source, I heard they’ve stopped counting the votes for the night in at least one of the MS counties in this district. Quite possibly in all of them.

Dr. Senator Abdulrahmad Mohamed El-Sayed: “To AIPAC who spent $42 million against us, thank you for giving me the opportunity to beat you twice”.

I love this man so much.

I think maybe Michigan pollworkers and county clerks have gone to bed - no more updates until tomorrow. Alaska, where it’s not as late at night yet, is still counting, but not for much longer (until tomorrow). I’m guessing.

97% in and Colom is leading MS by 28 votes.

This one’s gonna be a nailbiter.

Democrats won that back and forth gerrymandering battle handily. The Republicans failed to clip most of the seats they gerrymandered - I think they got two? Meanwhile, every single retributively gerrymandered seat in California went to the Dems.

This is what that blue wave that never materialized would have been like.

Nate Silver said that the remaining MS ballots may be largely provisional which typically tend towards Democrats.

I thought Alaska had ranked-choice voting. Doesn’t that pretty much shoot the whole cunning, “fake Dan Sullivan” plan in the foot?

It do.

Great question. I don’t understand well enough how it works to answer that
