Welcome back.
It’s nice to have you back and posting.
Roy Cooper elected in NC, first flip of the night!
I completely understand that I haven’t been able to watch news since 2024. The nausea is starting to ease a bit.
Shapiro was reelected in PA, now he can focus on 2028.
Wow. NC went from 0 to 56% in a blink of the eye.
Edit: And now AP has called Cooper there.
Three more flips and Senate control changes
Not sure if any of you listened to This American Life, but they had a brief interview with a Hispanic resident of Allentown, PA who became MAGA and is super involved in local political organizing etc among the Latino community… and he was at least pretending to be confident that the R candidate would beat Shapiro. So suck it, that guy (although I really dislike not respecting someone who is doing something that way more people should do, which is going out and getting seriously involved in local politics just for the democracy of it all… still baffles me that someone like him would decide to get involved… in the MAGA movement, of all movements).
Texas governor race-Hinojosa is leading.
Oakland Co. in Michigan (Haley Stevens’ former haunt) El Sayed is up 56% to Rogers’ 49%. ![]()
That’s what I’m waiting on as well. That and Fort Bend County.
A request, please? Could folks reporting on House races please state the party? Most of us don’t have the names in all 435 races memorized.
Actually not a bad idea for the Senate, either, though the big names are more familiar there.
I was going to make the same request
Ditto
Ashley Moody wins FL, first hold for the Republicans tonight.
Florida is called for moody r Florida.
And you got it.
I concur w/r/t the Moody call. The remaining votes that haven’t been added to the totals seem to mostly (but not entirely) be from red leaning counties and will likely give Moody even more votes.
So it looks like the Black Socialist who got no support from the national Democratic Party is going to lose Florida by about three points? Oh, this is going to be a fun night.
Sister Graham (R) is looking shaky in SC
NYT currently giving Andrews (D) a 93% chance of winning SC, so I’d say Graham’s looking more than just shaky.
