I stumbled across this link which is presumably an ad for a pair of Santa Claus boots that you can plug into a USB port on your computer. Yes, you read that right.
For whatever reason, I can’t figure out why anyone would want to have footwear that plugs into any port on your computer, and there’s no English description on the page to clue me in. There is a link to a Japanese site that features the same product, so it seems likely that the text in the ad is Japanese. Can some Japanese-reading doper help me out and explain what this says?
i think its important to realize that north america isnt the only place where you can buy junk that makes you wonder “why is this on the market. but i want one!”. this question makes me regret not taking japanese class in high school. oh well, i can tell you from what i know that slippers are really popular in japan and that they never wear outdoor footwear inside there houses im not an expert on japanese culture so hopefully some japanese nut realizes how ignorant i am but from the link, it looks like its made of a plush felt of somesort so the person probably wont wear it outdoors. the best answer i can give you is that its just a novelty product and probably just a usb holder of somesort
