Use of Willard vs. Hussein at the conventions

It would be interesting to note the number of times Willard and Hussein are mentioned at the GOP convention. I’m guessing they use Hussein more often.

A little not-so-subtle birtherism.

You’re pitting something that you’re guessing might happen?

This pitting is bad and you should feel bad.

I’m gonna be really pissed the next time the Yankees win the World Series again.

I’m still pissed about all the banks the OP may or may not rob in the future.

There’s a lot to dislike about Republican rhetoric lately*, but screaming “Barack HUSSEIN Obama!!!” is not one of them.

*and Democrats have even been annoying enough that I’ve been switching the channel when one of them speaks on the news, but that’s more due to saturation and the oversimplicity of soundbites than due to hatefully wrong content.

It would make for an interesting drinking game.

Every time some one says ‘Hussein’ you have to drink.

I could have started it in elections, but you know darned well it would have ended up here eventually.

It’s outright anti-Muslim sentiment.

But yeah, would be a good drinking game.

Yes. It’s almost as if the convention for the political party not in power is likely to NOT be a hotbed of fairness and equal treatment of both sides of the debate.

Well, there’s always MPSIMS.

I’m not saying you should have put it in a different forum, I’m saying you shouldn’t have posted it at all because it’s fucking stupid.

Don’t watch news on television. That’s not what television is for, and it presents a distorted picture of what’s happening in the world, one that has little-to-no actual value for a person who lives in the world.

Actually, it’s mostly NPR news. But lately they’ve been mostly horserace, horserace, horserace, and presenting political speeches unchallenged.

Oh, OK. You threw me off by talking about switching “channels.”

Is this a subtle Michael Jackson reference?

Good thing we’re all above making fun of names here, right?

I wouldn’t expect the convention for the party who is in power to be particularly high-minded, either. Perhaps that’s just me.

Shodan

A blatant rattist remark.

That or a Fred Jacksit reference.

Nor me, largely because they’re all made up of politicians.
