What would be the most vague question one could possibly ask as a thread starter here without getting shut down? I mean would “why?” or “how?” survive moderator scrutiny? If not a single word query, then how about something slightly longer but equally devoid of context?

“Moderator scrutiny”? I think that in many cases a moderator has something called to their attention by a guest/member/user.
Yes, but once it’s called to our attention, we decide what action, if any, to take. I can say that if anyone started a thread asking “What do you think about the way they do that thing?” (with no other context), I’d close it. Probably the edge would be something like “What do you think about <broad subject>?” (which would get moved to IMHO, if it wasn’t there already).
What should we do, about stuff?
I have a long thread opener composed. The title would be ‘Cats’. I don’t dare post it. It’s just too too much.
