Man, just 8 minutes into the game, and this is turning into a street fight. This is going to be a good game.
LOL… The announcer just said the field goal attempt by UT was “a happy ending”.
I’m loving this.

Go Beavs!
OSU has a receiver named “Woods”. They just said “Woods has a long one” (meaning he made a good rushing play after a handoff of the football, no double entrendre intended, but I heard it as one).
A fun, interesting game but not a very well played game.
What does it say that Texas, the richest program in college football, is playing in this bowl and can look so sloppy.
So crack a brew, rest in your Laz-E-Boy and enjoy! College football is about match-ups, not overall excellence.
Beavers are a pretty good team this year. Seems like they have a solid D that just make the Longhorns look sloppy. If OSU’s offense looks sloppy, well, I think their actual first-string quarterback has not even played.
How could you NOT hear that as dirty?
I can imagine Beavis and Butt-head going into total pleasure overload. "He said ‘Beaver.’ Huh huh huh. Now he said ‘Woods.’ Huh huh huh. Now he said ‘happy ending!’ Huh huh huh huh huh huh huh. He…he said…‘Woods has a long one!’ Huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh!
The vast majority of college bowl games are pretty sloppy. I can’t think of any other sport where teams take a month off between games.
Well, that sucked!
The best thing about this game was the significance of Pflugerville, Texas. OSU’s star RB went to PHS, as did defensive beast Alex Okafor (4.5 sacks and an Alamo Bowl record). Not to mention studs like Daje Johnson hail from just north of Austin.
Jordan Hicks and Case McCoy breaking curfew, and ending up in a room where Hicks either had consensual sex or sexually assaulted a woman while McCoy… er, watched?.. is perhaps the biggest story out of the Alamo Bowl. If Hicks did indeed assault this woman, he’s going to jail. If he didn’t, he’s going to have a hell of a time remaining on the team because of the sordid nature of the accusation. McCoy is Texas football royalty and this is a huge stain on that reputation. I guess we’ll see… but that’s the biggest thing about the game IMO.
Oh, and Diaz actually called a great second half. Maybe he saved his job? David Ash may have solidified himself as the starter going into the '13 season. Mack Brown is not in jeopardy of losing his job.
