Vampire Survivors: Fun indie, rogue-lite game with 72,000 "Overwhelmingly Positive" reviews on Steam, costs $3

Sketamari is the ball-of-skeletons name.

According to the below info, he grows by absorbing “enemies”, with the formula contained on the linked page. So, it is definitely best to get to him (her?) as early as possible.

Just double checked: with the red death I got to it in ~2 minutes and killed it around 4 minutes later. Only took one weapon and then got in front of it. Spinach and the attack speed tome help. My initial arcana was the one that buffs you the less weapons you have.

Yup, the best way to kill sketamari is to get to him as soon as possible, not only does he absorb the other npcs to constantly grow bigger and get more hps but the bone zone also continuously makes mobs stronger as time goes on. Heading straight for him with hopefully a fairly good offensive build is the best way to go about it.

How do you get a Red Death?

Kill the Reaper at 30 minutes on any map. (I think…)

Oh. Man, I just die instantly when he shows up.

Yeah…that is what usually happens to everyone but it can be killed.

Is it with something silly like the pentagram, or can you DPS him down with conventional weapons?

Clock lancet is good (freezes him). But you need to keep maneuvering to keep it frozen (things like tome help).

Direct damage is good (knives, magic wand, etc). Area attacks are nice (it sits in the AOE). Just dump as much damage on it as you can as fast as you can.

A little cheese like standing on one side of a piano in the Library so he can’t get to you.

There is more than one way to do it.

Note: There are several 31 minute unlocks which means you need to survive for 31 minutes. You do not need to kill the Reaper but you need to survive for at least a minute past 30. Another way to think about it.

Clock lancet and laurel make it possible, if you can evolve the lancet its a sure thing. He is immune to pentagram or the dropped crosses.

As mentioned, clock lancet evolved freezes him mostly, and evolved laurel limits his damage on you. You just end up killing him again and again, and stuff happens. You get Red Death after that. He’s got twice the health of the rest and is very fast.

On other note, I went in, refunded all my powerups to try it from nil to see what it was like at the start, rebought all my powerups and got a spare half a million more. I guess some were cheaper after the next version.

Clock lancet evolved HALVES their hps each time it pulses, the freeze is not even the important part.

It’s the order you bought them in I assume, the cost goes up with each purchase so the order you get them matters quite a bit.

Really?

That seems very OP.

That said, I really do not know.

It is very OP, against bosses. Against regular mobs it’s not that important, unless you got massive amounts of curse.

There just seems to be no way I can beat the bone ball thing. I race towards it and just pour damage into it; no effect.

It takes a lot of damage (tens of thousands of hit points) to kill that thing!

Coming April 13 is the second paid DLC ($3 US I think):

22 hours to go…
