I thought the thread was Vanilla tastes like mae west. I always thought the poster Vanilla was cute but tasting like Mae West seems like such a turn off.

Incidentally, accordin to Big Secrets and For God, Country, and Coca Cola, vanilla is *already[/] one of the key ingredients of the “cola” flavor. Do they just add more f it?
Presumably. Try adding a couple of drops of vanilla extract to a glass of “Classic”. If done right, that’s how it should taste.

I was just telling my husband how I saw it advertised yesterday and can’t wait.
When I worked at Dairy Queen I used to make them for myself all the time. Now I can get it in a can!
I hope it’s worth the anticipation.

It hasn’t come out in any of the stores here in Austin yet, but I’m a big fan of going to Jason’s Deli and just pouring some of their vanilla extract into a coke and doing it that way. I’m not sure how well a company makes their own drinks. Apparenty, Cpt. Morgan has started making prepackaged rum and cokes. It’s the same way, if you’ve been making it yourself, you “know how it should taste,” why do you want the corporates fucking that up.
But I’m still anticipating greatness.
I am sitting at my desk right now with a vanilla coke fresh from the corner store and have to say I love it! Great new coke and it tastes NOTHING like mae west!

I do not think so. At least not yet.
I learned something interesting yesterday while listening to NPR. They did a report about the new vanilla coke/Blue Pepsi and made mention that this is the first new product that Coke has released in 17 years. Immediately I thought “what about diet coke with lemon?”. The announcer then said that the only other new product was released by Diet Coke. I assume this means that Diet coke and coke are separate entities which means they don’t necessarily release regular and diet versions of products at the same time.
I Truly prefer Pepsi over Coke.
And to think… I used to think you had taste!
