If this site is a joke, it’s a bizarre one. If you click on the “Cities” drop-down menu, you’ll find tres chic locales like New York City, San Francisco, Stockholm, and, uh, New Castle, Delaware. You can “rate” people on the site, but can only give them ratings between 7 and 10. (It’s the dating site where all the people are above average.)
As for “Mr. Vanity”'s claim that he is trying to make a TV show out of this website–pull the other one, Mr. V. You and about 500 people. I’m not completely convinced this isn’t a modeling scam.
Oh, and elmwood, you left out the best part about the “about vanitydate.com” page:
I’m all for this brilliant service. It’s about time someone stepped up and cut out the ugly of these dating services. Granted, I won’t be using it, nor have I ever used such a service, but it’s nice to know that this demographic is being capitalized on.
Actually I meant to say “Oh and to those of you who find it “shallow”, you’re not under any obligation to use it, or pay any attention to it for that matter.”
