Venture Bros: Tears of A Sea Cow.

An interesting one. I think we learn something about the possible source of the Monarchs obsession on Rusty.

It wasn’t bad, but the Monarch had a real “kick the puppy” moment when he killed Dr. Dugong. The guy was harmless! I did love the “I remember” bit- the air gets all wavy, you’re ready for the flashback, and then- septic tank. Brilliant. The Darth Vader bit with Dean was great, and the 24-Durmond interaction was hilarious. “O.K., now I belive you’re Hank’s friend”
I can’t help but wonder if they’ve bitten off more than they can chew with Jonas. He seems to be the real deal, and Monarch couldn’t even take out Rusty.

But there’s no Brock to worry about. So the minions will be relieved. Jonas will probably just remotely take over the cocoon and shut it down instead of killing the henchmen and turning them into Venturesteins.

I like the Pupae Twins. “The panties were whiiiiiite.”

Liked it. Lots of good little moments.

The Monarch killing Dr. Dugong. What did that guy do to deserve assigned Arching?

The twins are fun yes, but as shown, they’re getting in the way of the minions.

Dermott is a dork. I really liked the scene with 24 (or was it 21?) where it took a while to convince him that the kid was Hank’s friend.

The Monarch tricking Dean into being silent about what he saw. Priceless. And the whole incident was just signature The Monarch arching. :stuck_out_tongue:

Awesome episode, loving the moppets more and more. The Monarch boofing Rusty’s robot is one of the best things I’ve ever seen. Nice to see him finally getting a decent arch enemy too.

That was hilarious, but I think the waviness in the air wasn’t actually a flashback harbinger at all – it was distortion from the heat from the fire.

The Monarch’s feelings toward Rusty are a little confusing. When he encountered Guardo, the robot with Rusty’s face, his first instinct was to “give it chlamydia”? Wow, what would Dr. Mrs. The Monarch say?
