Veronica Mars 11/9/05 "Rat Saw God"

First - What the heck does the title mean?

Second - What did Keith see while hiding from the night watchman?

(so that’s what Joss looks like)

I haven’t see the episode yet, but Rats Saw God was the name of a young adult novel written by VM creator Rob Thomas.

It is also “dog was star” backwards.

Brian

yeah - i noticed that, but that makes even less sense

You mean that thing under the seat? I wasn’t sure but I thought it looked like a dead rat. Which would explain that weird smell Dick Casablancas complained about on the drive over, and the title of the episode, I guess.

Did anyone else get the feeling the writers were trying to cover way too much ground in one episode? We’ve got plot threads going out in all directions.

which would explain the title - the dead rat greeted his diety

I kinda feel that way about the whole season. The first season was enjoyably implausible; the second seasons is just drowning in “Yeah, right.”

Oh, and Whedon’s appearance lasted less time than I thought it would. It was fun to see him, though.

1. Kountz’s dead daughter
2. her mysterious european boyfriend
3. the missing money
4. what really happened on the bridge with logan & felix
5. the dead rat

did I miss anything?

Aaron saying he’s innocent. Or he’s sort of innocent. Or it’s complicated. Or something.
Whatshisname (Kane security guy) suddenly working with Veronica.
Never did see a face of the body in the ice machine

Okay, my 3 is your 1.

I suspend my disbelief to accept a High School girl being a P.I. I did it with a certain vampire slayer, so why not.
Now, if I buy that, I think it’s brilliantly written and paced. Yes, they are stretching it, but I have no problem following the plot lines. It also seems as if they’re not going to leave any loose threads.

Even though they haven’t got great ratings, they get a lot of critical acclaim and Wheadon’s cameo must have been because he liked the show. Come to think about it, could this show have been made, had Buffy never been a hit?
So anyway, for me, with Lost, I find it to be the smartest show made by American tv right now, apart from shows on HBO and the like - they play in another league.

It’s almost good enough for me to do Numfar’s dance of joy.

I agree with everything **The Gaspode ** just said. That is all.
