I’ve seen it and it’s really good. Won’t give anything important away yet, though. Only one thing: Rob Thomas is a BSG fanboy too. VM now uses FRAK!
My cable TV guide tells us that Veronica helps Wallace’s new roommate recover a guitar stolen out of his car, while last season’s serial head shaving rapist strikes again.
I’m not real happy about the split-up season concept but better a split up season than no season at all.
After all the VM threads here I finally started renting season 1 from netflix two weeks ago. It was so damn good I just went and bought season 2, I didn’t feel like waiting!
I can’t wait for tonights premire! This show just sucked me in.
Is this the same premier that’s been available online? I haven’t seen it, because I don’t like watching shows on my computer, and I’d rather sit on my couch. But if that was a web-only episode, I’ll suffer through it.
It’s not web-only, it’s the same episode. They just made it available online a week early. It’s good, and I’m looking forward to watching it again tonight.
I plan on watching it even though I only saw half of season 2. (UPN station went independant, and I couldn’t get the new UPN station)
I thought about renting the rest of season 2 but its too late now.
Brian
Season Three starts tonight, I’m excited to see how this season goes.
I watched the online episode - because I’m getting my cable hooked back up almost specifically for Veronica Mars - and they’re not coming out until Friday (well, they could have come out today, but I couldn’t take today off).
I won’t play with any spoilers since it’s not officially aired yet and that’s asking for me to screw up the spoiler box, but I will say that I enjoyed it, mostly.
Item 1: Does anyone know how long the sleepover commentary is going to last? I find it very annoying.
My recording stopped at one hour. Did anything unusual happen after Veronica showed Piz the photo?
Of course! Putting this in spoilers just in case even though it already aired, just in case.
Parker, Mac’s roommate, was raped by the head-shaver. Dick showed up at Logan’s all messed up and grosser than usual and saying he really screwed up. The Fitzpatrick Keith picked up whose name I forget killed Kendall and almost shot Keith. Now he’s hiding in the desert for the night behind a rock. I predict Vinnie will save him in the nick of time. Oh, and Veronica caught the thief, it was that guy who said he found the guitar at a flea market.
I saw it on the web first too and I like it more the second time around, especially the details I was able to notice this time, like how Piz was wearing the same shirt that Logan wore in one episode. And Mac’s name on the door, heh. Still don’t like the new credits though. That Piz guy can’t act though. Well, he can’t act upset anyway.
I’m glad Mac is now going to be a regular. Is Weevil still in the opening credits? I forgot to look. I guess he’s still in jail though.
Are you referring to Veronica’s voiceover? It’s been a staple of the show, which is heavily influenced by old film noir detective movies, from Day One. It’s not going anywhere.
Yes, he’s in the credits. Yay Weevil!
Enjoyed. My only issue was the lighting seemed weird. Everything all stained glassy. I missed this show.
:dubious: I didn’t saw voiceover. I said sleepover. Maybe your station didn’t have it, but mine had these 5? teenaged looking girls in PJs and talking about the show during the commercial breaks…rewatches Ah, they’re the Aerie girls.
Well that makes me never want anything connected with American Eagle again.
(I like VMVO. Been a staple since day 1 it has.)
The teenage girls were on for Gilmore girls, too, with lots of commentary. I think they might be a CW thing, although I hope not.
slaps forehead Apologies. I don’t know how I forgot that this is what you said, especially since I quoted you.
I’m sorry, it’s late and I’m tired. You did say sleepover. We have TiVo and zap all the commercials, so we didn’t catch any of that.
Arien, thank you! Holy moly, I’m going to have to pay more attention to the Tivo times. I missed a lot!!
Thats a new CW thing, I hope it goes away.
As soon as Vinnie touched that briefcase, I knew he had bugged it. Keith should have known. Veronica would have searched it as soon as Vinnie left.
I don’t like the new credits either. I’m glad to see that Mac is a regular now.
Convenient how they all ended up attending the local college. Logan is a millionaire now, but if I understood correctly, Veronica implied that he couldn’t get in to any other college. And it wasn’t clear if Dick was actually enrolled or just hanging around.
I love the pop culture references in this show ("… and boom goes the dynamite!") and it make me wonder how many I miss.
