Much to my chagrin I haven’t been able to watch recent VM episodes (The local UPN station went independant, and I don’t have cable. It is also on a digital subchannel which I have the equipment to get but the signal isn’t stong enough).
So even though I haven’t seen recent episodes, I’m glad to see that it is renewed.
(22 episodes, reducable to 13 if the ratings aren’t there)
Which yeah, you probably want to avoid if you haven’t seen the episode yet. But if you’re wondering whether anyone cares, people mostly posted their thoughts on the renewel over there already.
Yeah, they got screwed on the Season 1 DVDs. Rob Thomas was told they could either put out the feature-light release we eventually saw in August, before Season 2 started (to give new fans a chance to catch up), or wait until later and have time to work on the features. They opted for the earlier release, hoping it would help boost viewership, and then the DVDs got delayed (the studio’s fault, not the producers’) and didn’t come out until the season was underway. So it was lose-lose.
