BREAKING: CNN-ORC post-debate poll of Registered Voters: 48% said Ryan won. 44% said Biden won. Sampling error: ±5%. #CNNDebate
The front page poll? Showed Biden 66 Ryan 34 when I just cast my vote.
Ok, so oversampling of Republicans is a problem then, right?
How many votes did Blitzer get?
BBC TV tentatively predicts the polls will find the debate a tie.
Biden’s background laughing and grinning turned a lot of people off. People who already support him thought it was great, but remember there are still undecideds out there who may have thought it was disgraceful.
Nobody is going to change their vote because Biden laughed too much at Ryan’s lies.
I’d love to find the Fox poll - don’t see on one the website.
CNN was as thus:
Biden 65% 4154
Ryan 35% 2212
That’s what this ABC News article is saying.
Which is why he did it. He knew Obama supporters would eat it up and it would lift their spirits, but he also knew that it wouldn’t cost the Obama ticket.
That was my feeling. I enjoyed watching it and the aggressive tack, but thought the laughing and smirking would put people off. I won’t be surprised if this debate eventually gets tagged a draw, but, who cares, it’s just a VP debate. Face it, substance has little to do with these debates. It’s what impression the candidates make, unfortunately.
Depends on how it affects undecideds. My gut tells me that it didn’t do him many favors, that’s for sure.
The question is what does it augar for the remaining two (presidential) debates?
I have to wonder if Cutter’s pre-debate gaffe will have a bigger effect on the polls than the debate itself did.
Biden rejuvenated the despondents in the Democratic camp and made them feel back in the game which was his most important job. I think he did a great job overall but I don’t care enough to fret over CNN’s flash poll numbers vs CBS’s vs BBC’s.
Given that you had to ask it like that and hope that someone will ask you what it was, I’m guessing it won’t.
Biden’s now that pushy guy who acts slightly obnoxiously, shades of Papa Bear.
But Ryan? Ryan who?
Well, Obama can’t do what Biden did. It would be out of character for starters so it would just seem weird.
The next two debates won’t allow Obama to really attack Romney on the stuff Obama’s been hitting him on. Townhall debates are a bad venue for attack politics and a foreign policy debate isn’t an appropriate time to talk about the 47% or tax returns. But Libya will be a big part of that debate.
It’s headline news. If you don’t know what it was, it’s because you’re here and not on the news sites.
