- The psychic boss in Metal Gear Solid. He tells you what games you like by reading your memory card. Changing the controller port regulates the controls.
- The Ring of Healing.
(So did I, Bosstone. It wasn’t until afterwards that we found that stuff out. We were also mildly freaked out by his mind tricks, too. He died, though. Bastard.)
I don’t know what that is- that isn’t the answer I’m looking for.
It’s from Morrowind. Maybe a little hint as to what genre or decade you’re looking for?
It’s a running gag in a series- although one of the developers of that series also made reference to it in some of his other games.
Then in that case, I’ve got no clue.
Pretty sure this is the Nameless One from Planescape: Torment?
Nameless carried his eye around, but I don’t think he ever had his arm or intestines on display. I could be wrong, though.
It is and he does. The arm and the eye are from past incarnations, and the intestines from the current one.
They get killed by Sephiroth at the end of the first disc.
You know, I got all excited about a new trivia game, and when I got in here, I discovered that I didn’t know for sure the answer to a single one of these questions.
Carry on, the lot of you!
I suppose I’ll add a few of my own:
-
In which game do the characters Spire, Noxus, and Weavel appear?
-
Is Flea male or female?
-
Semi-tough one: What are the names of the four animal companions in the original Mega Man series? (Extra credit: Name the fifth that was never actually in the games.)
-
“Male, female, what’s the difference? I’ve got the power, and power is beautiful!”
-
Rush (dog), Beat (bird), um…that Cat whose name I can’t remember off the top of my head and Treble the Wolf?
Mine:
dotchan-26) Finish the sentence: “Have you seen a little girl…?” (Bonus points: Name the series.)
dotchan-27) What is the Konami Code?
dotchan-28) Name the mana spirits from the Seiken Densetsu (i.e. [whatever] of Mana) series.
dotchan-29) Who is typically the hardest optional boss in a Nippon Ichi series game?
dotchan-30) What was the game Puyo Pop repackaged as in the U.S.?
Male, from Chrono Trigger (named after the one from Red Hot Chili Peppers).
Tricky one…technically, it’s up up down down left right left right AB select start, but a variation worked for Contra that went up up down down left right left right AB AB start (an extra AB, no select needed, but if it was done, you had the code with two players.)
And there is a distinct order to the Metroid games. It goes Metroid/Zero Mission, the Prime series, Metroid II, Super Metroid, Metroid Fusion.
Baal? I’d love to say I know for sure, but i’m not good enough at grinding to know.
dotchan-28) Name the mana spirits from the Seiken Densetsu (i.e. [whatever] of Mana) series.
Secret of Mana
Gnome ~ Earth
Salamando ~ Fire
Sylphid ~ Wind
Undine ~ Water
Lumina ~ Light
Shade ~ Darkness
Luna ~ Moon/Lunar
Dryad ~ Nature/Trees
BONUS ROUND! Legend of Mana!
Undine ~ Water
Jinn ~ Wind
Salamander ~ Fire
Gome ~ Earth
Wisp ~ Light
Shade ~ Dark
Aura ~ Gold/Metal
Dryad ~ Nature
Incidentally, this is one case where localization made the names cooler. In the original game, Magus’ three henchmen were named Vinegar (Ozzie), Mayonnaise (Flea), and Soy Sauce (Slash). :smack:
Oh no… up up down down left right left right B A. Traditionally followed by “select, start” in order to switch to two players and then start the game (in Contra), but this is not actually part of the code proper. Which is why your variation works, incidentally.
I can’t finish the sentence, but I think it’s Harry Mason asking about his daughter in Silent Hill.
