Video game trivia? You bet you sweet ass it is!

Rather, why your variation would work if you replaced the two "A B"s by "B A"s (the same change you’d have to make to your original).

“Short, black hair. Just turned 7 last month”

And yes, it’s Harry Mason from Silent Hill.

Dammit, I’m too slow to answer the ones I know. Guess I’ll posit some questions of my own:
31) A chocolate-coverd pickle is one of several items needed to lure _____ out of hiding.

  1. This level’s enemies include lawyers, fireball-belching snowmen, and floating, toothy demons.

  2. Which of these do not belong? Rambi, Squitter, Winky, Rattly.

You would need to get a M.U.L.E. and a parcel of land… and then choose which material you wanted to extract from that piece of land.

Hunt the Wumpus!!

*Flying out of the sun,
the smell of toast is in the air.
When there’s a job to be done
the flying toasters will be there!

-and it’s FLAP FLAP FLAP!
Salvation from above!
The precious gift they bring:
they fly in to save the day
on Mighty Toaster Wiiiiings!*

Here’s one back atcha:
(32) Want some rye?

Caverns, which require some mysteriously misplaced disks. You later find they might possibly lead to the Goodsoup Family Tomb.

It’s supposed to be nearly impossible, although Desert Bus seems worse.
I know him as Beat Takeshi, or perhaps Takeshi Kitano, but I guess he has some other name on the MXC show?

#11 is really familiar, but I can’t place it. It sounds like a special attack.

On preview:

Of course ya do!

Hell, ruled by Evil the Cat, in Earthworm Jim.

'Vic Romano, of course!"

“Right you are, Ken.”

OK, here’s a roundup of all the questions that no one’s answered, or seriously tried to answer, since I have no idea which already given answers are right (except mine).

  1. What Imperial admiral defected to the Rebel Alliance? [The Darth Vader answer doesn’t sound right; he wasn’t an admiral, at any rate.]

  2. Complete the quote: “Yer dead, pal! Death Blow: _________”

  3. [Cherry blossoms] : [dragon] :: [Mr. Penn] : ???

  4. One of the games mentioned or referred to in the first thirteen questions has a super-hard non-boss enemy whose name is a word in a different one of the first thirteen questions. What’s the enemy’s name?

  1. Without looking, what is the secret of the Inner Sanctum?
  1. Something bouncing towards me whilst a chorus chants “Hallelujah!” can only be good, right?

dotchan-29) Who is typically the hardest optional boss in a Nippon Ichi series game?

dotchan-30) What was the game Puyo Pop repackaged as in the U.S.?

  1. A chocolate-coverd pickle is one of several items needed to lure _____ out of hiding.

  2. Which of these do not belong? Rambi, Squitter, Winky, Rattly.

[Oh, yeah, and the cat in Mega Man is named Tango.]

Close enough  The stage was actually titled “What the Heck?” (and I think it was Earthworm Jim 2, but I don’t remember too well and I’m not that nitpicky anyway)

Yeah, it’s not right (besides, that was from a movie, not one of the video games.)

Here’s a hint:

It’s from the game TIE Fighter.

All my questions have been correctly answered except for number 22. (Good guess, Jurph.)

Kirby’s Avalanche and Dr. Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine.

  1. “Heh heh. I love killing old people.” Please specify game, location, target geezer, and the method of killing.

On a similar note…

  1. ‘I love the dead. Frequently.’ Source? (And be specific.)

1) What is the most annoying enemy in the Castlevania series? (and before you say this is a matter of opinion…no, trust me, there is no other more hated non-boss enemy than this one.)

I was gonna chime in to say that the most objectively annoying enemy would prolly be red skeletons, being as they just… won’t… die!
*
17) Something bouncing towards me whilst a chorus chants “Hallelujah!” can only be good, right?*

Only if you’re the worm who threw the holy hand grenade!

25. Is Flea male or female?

Does it matter? Power is beautiful, and s/he has the power <3

26. Semi-tough one: What are the names of the four animal companions in the original Mega Man series? (Extra credit: Name the fifth that was never actually in the games.)

Um… Rush, Beat, Treble… I’m stumped o.o

In the spirit of the trivia, here are a few more!

  1. There is a small mailbox here. What’s in it?

  3. “You put the ladder in your pocket. Ouch.” Which series?

  4. What would you have to have to eliminate the giant pencil-shaped statue in your way?

  5. You point your S.E.E.S.-issue gun to your own head and pull the trigger. What happens?

  6. What must you find more of to progress in the Temple of the Ocean King?

  7. “I feel asleep!” What’s your next move?

  8. How do Immortals learn?

  9. Extra credit: How many types of explosive weapons could Snake use in MGS1, including non-lethal options?

  1. “Absence makes the heart go yonder.” Which series?

King’s Quest. I think #6.

  1. What must you find more of to progress in the Temple of the Ocean King?

Some type of sand. Phantom sand, or something?

  1. “I feel asleep!” What’s your next move?

You sneak past the guard and get into the back of the truck.

  1. What is the most annoying enemy in the Castlevania series? (and before you say this is a matter of opinion…no, trust me, there is no other more hated non-boss enemy than this one.)

I’m a late comer to this thread but I’ve been playing a lot of Castlevania lately (I beat CV3 for the third time this month…one of my fav NES games ever) and I consider not the medusa heads or the red skeletons to be the most annoying enemies, but the hunchbacks (aka fleamen), the little monkeys who jump around like crazy, get dropped off in the middle of the garden by gargoyles, and surround you.

  1. One of the games mentioned or referred to in the first thirteen questions has a super-hard non-boss enemy whose name is a word in a different one of the first thirteen questions. What’s the enemy’s name?

Jeez, I can’t believe nobody answered this one. METROIDS!!!

  1. There is a small mailbox here. What’s in it?

Little Red Riding Hood’s cookie basket.

Read the question again. DIFFERENT one of the first thirteen questions.

Ten silver crowns![/Lands of Lore]

I don’t know if this is the extra credit one or the fourth actual one, but the dog’s name was supposed to be Roll. (Megaman was Rock, dog was Roll, rock and roll, geddit?)
