Virgowitch, stop being a Bastard

Funny that she should have a business making masks.

I’d hide my face too.

I know there are people in the world that do not love their fellow human beings . . . and I hate people like that.

gasp

Geez.

VirgoWitch please change your username, as you give the word “Witch” a very bad reputation. You are anything but a Witch, as a true Witch would never spout the kind of venom you have in your very short time here. If you just didn’t want to use “Bitch” in your name, which would be much more appropriate, think of something else then.

Well, not all Witches are fluff bunnies, I can tell you that.

(And guys, the witch bitch thang…heard it a million times myself, ya need new material )

No, but most of them (modern Wiccans at any rate) ought to at least act as though they respect others.

Why walk the walk if you don’t talk the talk?

If you’re a jerk you’re a jerk, and all spiritual paths have their fair share. Don’t hold us poor (Gods help me I was going to say bastards, snort) saps to a higher standard.

Hell, I’m a Witch and I’ve sometimes voted Republican, and they haven’t revoked my pentacle.

I assure you, I don’t hold Wics to any higher standard than I hold practitioners of any other faith.

But if one does talk the talk (if only by claiming a particular faith), I damn sure expect the walk to be walked.

Well, some Witches do not claim to be"wiccan", and don’t adhere to the same standards.
Just playing devils advocate here. I try not to be an asshole.
Ok. Most of the time.

Eh, no worries. I only expect people to at least make an effort to live up to the tenets of their claimed faith. If that includes “love thy neighbor” or “an ye harm none,” great. If it doesn’t, that’s fine too.

But I have no idea what all this has to do with anything. I don’t know if Virgo claims to be a Witch or merely a witch.

(Holding bouquet of roses and adjusting Tiara, stifling a tear) I’d just like to thank my High School English teacher, my diplomacy tutor, my parents, and the Goddess for this honor.

And for all of you whining about prejudice and referring to me as she, I’m male. Anyone has a problem with me being a Witch, take your broom out of your ass get over yourself. Go shop for windchimes or something.

A thank you to those who quite correctly pointed out that I have never said a single bad thing about illegitimate children. Whenever the argument comes up, it often descends into “how can you say that about a wee l’il bairn…” when of course the child has no say in the matter. The debate was always about the choices of the parents. And just to clarify, I think having children out of wedlock is trashy. I suppose I wouldn’t be so elitist if there weren’t just hordes of people who are beneath me, but what can you do?

There’s no need to use that kind of vulgarity, dear.

I don’t understand why anyone, when describing a child, would choose to use a word that has, in this day and time, negative connotations. I think that choosing to do that is “trashy.”

The question remains, a male what?

On a board that’s reknowned for its intelligence, erudition and wisdom, posters like Virgowitch serve as reminders of the alternatives.

Keep being a jerk.

OK, I’ve read a few things from VirginWitch now, enough to feel like I know enough to contribute my two cents.

VirginWitch as a male witch, I assume you’re familiar with the rule of three: whatever you put into the universe comes back to you, three times over. You’ve pretty some pretty nasty energy out there, including the way you continue to use a term you consider insulting despite being told otherwise, no to mention prompting Polycarp to say “Fuck”. I assume you’re prepared to reap the consequences. Actually, I’ve noticed that around here, “three times over” can be an understatement for both positive and negative consequences.

For the record, I’ve no problem with you being male and using the term “Witch”; a good friend of mine is a rather powerful male Wiccan who tells me the term is entirely appropriate. I also agree with you in that I’m not in favor of children being born out of wedlock. Your behaviour around here so far is another matter entirely. Being homosexual is not a choice; being a jerk is. You might want to reconsider your choices.

Virgowitch I noted your use of the term “trailer trash” in your ‘smoking as child abuse’ thread, your ignorant targetting of the socioeconomically disadvantaged is pathetic, your vitriol would be better aimed at the tobacco companies and the governments who rake in the profits and tax dollars from the most vulnerable in our society.

Your use of the term “trashy” to describe the birth of children outside of marriage just reinforces how ignorant you are of the wide variety of valid lifestyle choices there are in this life.

The positions you take in your postings here just makes people realise how pathetic narrow minded bigotry is, with you being a prime example.

Exsuse me. I obviously can’t type this morning. Instead of

I meant to type

Sorry if there was any confusion.

“Preview is my friend”? No, Preview is the love of my life right now!

Virgo (I refuse to put “witch” after your name because you don’t deserve it)

The fact that someone that claims to be a member of a group so often chastised and misunderstood being such a horrible example of ignorance, intolerance and idiocy in it’s worst form absolutely astounds me.

I think you need to study the tenents of your claimed religion a little more.

How about go fuck yourself?

Yeah, that’d work.

Esprix

Well, the term bastard is customarily used with reference to the offspring of a non-marital sexual union, not to the parents who might, by your system of honor, be condemnable.

It’s generally considered insulting.

By my understanding of the Rede, then, it is doing harm to those to whom it is applied – as opposed to the parents, regarding whom you can have whatever opinion suits you.

Do kindly clarify, therefore, how you justify its use as acceptable, as a practicing witch.

And while we’re on the subject, at least twice in GD you have done “drive-by” posts presenting your opinion in brief and inflammatory terms. I have on both occasions I know of asked for clarification of what you meant, and seen no post in response. While you are under no obligation to respond to me or to any other poster, this sort of behavior is seen on this board as “trolling” – “throwing out a line to see what bites.” And it is considered reprehensible to do so.

Kindly note that I’m not accusing you of being “a troll” – i.e., someone whose sole purpose in posting is to inflame. That is a matter for the moderators to deal with, and I am not one of them and am not trespassing on their turf. I am challenging you to this and this alone: if you make a controversial comment in any thread, have the courtesy to other members to return to that thread and continue the discussion. If your controversial comment arouses hostility in others, it’s your problem to deal with what you’ve caused.

Thank you.

Anyone else suspect the more appropriate pronoun might be it?

Let me see if I have the hang of this, Poly:

I’m not saying Virgowitch is a mean spirited, narrow minded, rude, and ignorant baboon. I’m just saying that it’s posts might be interpreted as evidence that it is a mean spirited, narrow minded, rude, and ignorant baboon.

(Profuse apologies to any baboons out there.)

I’ve wasted enough time and thought on this loser’s spewings. Just wanted to conclude with an offer to help defray the costs should it choose to undergo sterilization.
