On temp Dope, I saw that a couple of people mentioned that they liked VNV Nation.
So, my question is, what do you think of their latest and have you been to any of their live shows? If so, what was it like?
As for me, I think Future Perfect is good, but not as good as Empires or Praise the Fallen. I saw them live in New Orleans and finally met them. They are indeed nice and the show was HIGHLY energetic. 
I really like FuturePerfect, but I agree that it isn’t on par with Empires. Of course, it would have had to be probably the greatest album of recent memory to be better than Empires, IMO 
The only thing that really bugs me about the new album is that some of the production seems a little off … a little too many mids and highs in there that tend to blare a bit and distort the sound here and there. I think that the studio version of Beloved could have been a little more powerful had he produced it a little differently. Small gripes, though, because I really do like the album a lot!
I’ve seen them twice now, both in Chicago - once opening for Apoptygma Berzerk and again this past November. Both were awesome shows and I can’t wait to see them with Haujobb this April!

I went to their latest Toronto concert. It was excellent- a great venue, fun people attending, and the band really knew how to work the audience. The played… um… Solitary, Anthem, Darkangel, Honour, Kingdom, Legion, Rubicon, and Joy. Icon of Coil opened. I’ve only heard a few of the songs off of their latest- I’m listening to Genesis right now…
