One of the locals posts on Reddit and advises if you are staying at the Blue Lagoon hotel to leave your bags packed in case there is an evacuation.

We’re off to Iceland 4 weeks tomorrow and will not be heading to the Blue Lagoon.
That looks like quite a wide area that’s erupting.
My daughter, her husband and their kids were there two weeks ago. Every place they visit erupts in chaos. They lived in Hong Kong for a couple of years, just saying.
This one’s at it again ! Can’t let Pele get all the limelight…
