Wait, strikeover doesn't work on the number four?

[del]3.99999999…[/del]

Even closer.

I never would have thought this would work. I see the 4 in black and the strikeout in red.
TBG’s source code for this is: [del]4[/del]

(ETA: And the resulting HTML code is: <font color=“Red”><del><font color=“Black”>4</font></del></font> )

I am using Ubuntu Linux with Firefox (both several years old). I see a regular 4 with a horizontal part 1 pixel high, and a struck-out 4 with a horizontal bar 2 pixels high, the extra height being above the horizontal part of the regular 4 (and red in TBG’s example), and also sticking out one pixel farther at the left and right ends.

I’m a little confused. The problem is the browser, correct? I use IE, and in the OP, I see a strike-through on all the 4’s, just fine, slightly above the cross-bar.

Check out #13. It’s a screen cap of struck out 4s compared between Firefox and IE.

In FF, most fonts have the cross bar and the strike bar on top of each other.

No. You do it like this:
