Waking up too early for the MMP

I either slept too much or not enough this weekend, but either way, I feel like I could conk right back out. Except, I’m at work, in a skirt and heels, and such things are generally frowned upon.

I had real trouble getting to sleep last night. Whenever I closed my eyes I could see the cat we had to put to sleep earlier that day.

I got up too late today. At least today isn’t a workday for me.

Just remember
A légpárnás hajóm tele van angolnákkal.
It’s the perfect phrase for any situation.

Whew!! I did 2 loads of laundry, baked an apple cake for my sweetie, ran a load in the dishwasher, and help my mom finish weeding the front garden. I’m watering that garden right now, and shortly, we will have lunch. I’m all packed, and our bags are in the car.

We’re leaving at 3, so about 2, I’ll shower and dress in my traveling duds. Not much to do in the interim, but I’ll log off now and chill. Try to behave yourselves over the next 4 weeks and don’t believe anything scandalous you might hear about me. I’m nice, dammit!!!

**sari **- you should be moved by the time I get back, right? Darn, and I was going to volunteer to carry all your heavy furniture…

Your hovercraft is full of eels?

Then take off your skirt & heels & crawl up into a ball for nappage. easy-peasy.

Moooom is bringing me a real Catapult from Olde England. She said so on FB. Some Mumper who shall remain unnamed is in deep doo doo.

Tugig it seems that you have another pet.

Cheers all

Jim

That’s not a trial, it’s a soap opera. I’m just waiting for the appearance of the Evil Twin and the person everyone thought was dead but really had amnesia.

Have a good trip, Mom.

I* hate* it when that happens.

I got the appraisal back and the house appraised high enough.
The FHA is requiring a few repairs, one that I knew of (replace a missing deck rail) and had already asked to have done. Two others are minor (springy porch board and attic light switch not working) and should be easy fixes for the seller.
The one I am worried about it the peeling paint on the foundation and basement windows. The house is being repainted so that be part of what is being painted anyway. The appraiser noted the peeling paint on the house but also noted that they house is being painted.

I’m not sure why the deck rail has to be replaced though, it’s a piece of the railing that divides the two sides of the duplex. I wanted it replaced so my dog can’t just stroll over to the neighbors side of the deck, but nobody is going to fall or anything.

Ha! FCM thinks I’ll be moved that quickly. Fortunately for her I have no heavy furniture to move, I have very little furniture to move period. I’m buying new and having it delivered.
Unlike the HFH I’m not stupid enough to go out and buy a bunch of stuff before I have a house to put it in.

So there will be plenty of room for them to move their stuff in…
: d&r :

Two hours on the phone about refinance documents. One more call to make, but that’s keeping someone in the loop.

Have a nice trip, Mooms. Crossing fingers for the Sah-home. The rest of you just get coffee and donuts.

And a cigar for the kitty in the third row!

Probably because it’s on a checklist - all deck/porch rails sturdy and installed as per code.

We had just the faintest of jiggling here from yesterday’s quake. DH said the dining room chandelier was swaying slightly, but I slept right through it.

At the epicenter, not so good, unfortunately. It was at Napa, which to some, is the geographic center of all things wine. Lots of grapes grow in the area, but they can handle some shaking. Unfortunately, some wineries and warehouses did not fare well, and a whole lot of wine and olive oil was lost along with a handful of mobile homes that burned to the ground thanks at first to a broken gas line, then a ruptured water main didn’t help. AFAIK, no fatalities, so there’s that at least.

Howdy Y’all! Moanday has been survived and pizza is on the way via OYKW. Just felt like a pizza kinda night.

I reckon MOOOOOOM is on the plane right now. Hope the flight is a good one.

I’m tahrd and sinusy. I believe ragweed is startin’ up. ICK!

Read but didn’t retain much, so, yays, boos, hugs, noogies, trouts, chitlins, wedgies, smooches, how you doin’s all aroud. Take what you need.

I just took a shower. I remember how my kitty would like to lick the water tap after showers, and how we’d have to close the shower door to keep him out. And how he used to sneak into the closet and sleep on the towels.

I miss him so much.

(((((EmilyG)))))

Kitties do leave a very large hole, don’t they?

Thanks.

I worked. I drove hoe, they had some good tunes on the radio. Making Italia cheeseburgers with roasted potato wedges and sauteed aspasrgus.

Sure, but it’ll be 8 hours cold.

Screw that. CALVINBALL TOURNAMENT!

I kmew it, too.

{{{{Midget}}} it sucks to lose a fuzzy friend. :frowning:
