Waking up too early for the MMP

Cooked spinach always cleans me out. But remember - like a lot of life’s problems, this too shall pass.
(I’ll be over here ducking)

MOOOOOOM just sent me the latest update. I left out some of it because that part was in what I posted yestiddy. Without further ado… MOOOOM’s 2nd day adventures as a [del]pirate[/del] tourist on the high seas!

You’re lucky I’m too tired to hunt you down.
There’s always tomorrow

I avoid spinach for exactly that reason. The last time I ate it I was doubled over in pain.

One delivery down, three more to go.

Ah, did you send this to Stevie the Bat?
:dubious:

Rosie, thanks for sharing that clip,it was cute! LOL I must confess to watching “The Love Boat” quite recently on ME TV. It can be entertaining, really.

A hearty welcome to all the new Mumpers! I can’t remember who all is new, but that’s okay, don’t mind me, I’m just sitting here in my rocking chair, trying to remember my own name! LOL

I can’t participate in the drinking games - alcohol is prohibited by some of the meds I take, but that’s okay, perhaps I’ll just chug a mug of root beer instead?

Sending healing thoughts out to any and all who need them. My legs are doing better, thankfully. My cousin is also much better, thanks for all the prayers and good wishes for her. So glad that she’s out of the hospital.

Happy Thursday all - one more day until the holiday (Labor Day) weekend, woo hoo!!

I am bein’ forced forced I say, to exit the orifice. Seems the painter guys are about and since I’d already told 'em no one would be back in our little corner of the orifice tomorrow, they want to get busy with some prep work around three this afternoon. Woe! Woe is me! So I called my PTB to tell 'em and my boss said for us just to call it a day then. Thus, it’s a day! Let the weekend begin!

Just came by to breathe some life into this thread. It’s been an hour since someone posted, in the middle of the week even. Seems like we rely on Mom for posts more than we (or at least I) thought.

I hit 40 hours early, so I was sent home at 1130. So I stopped at the Bistro for a beerverage and some Pork Tots. I grabbed beer and coffee and a tuna steak for dinner.

It seems like the rest of my group is taking a four-day weekend. Who’s going to help me keep the lights on and the mainframe running?

 Good to have things settled, I guess.

We’ve seen many tiny bodies, but also two looking lively. Don’t know if that means we need to do it again or if they’re just shuffling off their mortal coil more slowly than the others.

Glad to hear that Mooms is enjoying her trip. I bet they’re glad that the music is being appreciated so thoroughly.

What the hell is a pork tot? Yes, I Googled it, and there were about 5 different things involving N. O. T.s and bacon donors, so please be more specific.

Pork Tots. The pig wings are good, too.

Day four of sitting in this fucking truck. The AC can’t keep up with the outside temp & direct sunlight; it slowly creeps up to 90 or so by 5pm.

Slight chance the jury will return tomorrow; more likely I am back here next week.

The General shall not eat tonight. We just had an early dindin of his chikin. I have also rubbed down the chikin and the <snerk> butts <snerk> that shall be smoked tomorrow.

doggio I am sorry but I must call the health department in Raleigh so they can shut down that unogly place. They serve fart blossoms, thus they must cease to exist.

Aren’t you worried about annoyingAsian Warlords?

IME, Asian Warlords as a whole are quite annoying. :stuck_out_tongue:

We have decided on a menu for Sattidy’s shindig at the cee-mint pond. Since this is the kind of last Summer hurrah, we shall have smoked chikin, of course, but also grilled corn on the cob, maters fresh out of the garden, marinated garden veggies, and watermelon. Sounds yummy!

Indeed it does, until the Golden Horde shows up in a foul mood.

Eh. Give 'em a cold beer and toss some grilled meat at 'em and they’ll pretty much calm down.

JDD and Partner just informed me they found some baby okras at the market. We shall also have grilled okra Sattidy. YAY!!!

Damn you. I’m 2,800 miles from those pig wings.

Dang it swampy! Ya starved the general and left me with hot and sour soup for supper. But. Thanks to kopek’s post, washed down wit a bottle of TsingTsao.
