Does anyone know of good battle simulator games available for the iMac? I don’t think Steel Panthers has been converted, but any others?
I did a search at MacCentral’s games site but found nothing using “battle simulators” as my criteria. There is a message forum here, so maybe you can try asking about them there. Good luck.
Depends on what you consider a battle simulator. The only thing that comes to my mind is Myth II. There are plug-ins for Myth II that will let you change the game to WW II, WW I, Vietnam, and Korea. (I imagine by now there is a Desert Storm, but who knows). The WW II one is the best in my opinion. There are even tanks that you can drive around and mortars. There is also a whole bunch of Sci-Fi plug-ins so you can fight as aliens and stuff like that.

Sure. Get that virtual PC thing domakicky that mac owners used to rave about then go to the bargin bin of your local software shop and pick out something old that should run on it. Other than that, get a windows machine. Games are still largly ignored on the Mac unfortunatly…this past week isn’t going to help their outlook either, I don’t think.
