Warning for Junior Moderating

I call out moderator Spectre of Pithecanthropus for abuse of authority as a moderator in this thread:

I was accused and warned for Junior Moderation, when I made no such attempt to do so. I did not warn nor chastise anyone for breaking rules. Sprectre himself did not warn me for the violation that had allegedly occured prior to his first post. It was only after his warning for my “shooting it out nineteen to the dozen this evening” and my reply that he came back with an attempt at a breach of rules technicality.

Bullshit. If this board disapproves of honesty and vulgarity, put it in the rule book. Otherwise, this behavior is not befitting a moderator. It smacks of moral superiority and sanctimony.

Uh, well, not sure about junior modding, but you can’t say you weren’t hostile, no? You told someone to fuck off.

Ypu went in there loaded for bear.

Even after SOP told everyone to calm down you came back with:

“If you’re going to warn me about skirting posting guidelines, please do so with specific violations. If you want to call me an asshole, feel free.”

Sounds like you got what you wished for.

Yeah, thread closed. I wonder who closed it and why? Wait, no I don’t.

I closed it because the OP asked for it. It was pretty much hijacked entirely by that point anyway, and no, it wasn’t Guizot who did the hijacking.

So? Is there a rule pertaining to personal feelings about a topic now? Aren’t we allowed to be emotional about things?

Irrelevant. I didn’t subvert posting guidelines and I shouldn’t have been warned for Junior Modding, because I didn’t do that.

Yeah, because the premise of the thread was idiotic and the moderation was ridiculous. Imagine… Someone calling a turd a turd. It’s almost incomprehensible.

This is not going to end well.

It’s not up to you to decide what the standard is for creating threads.
If you don’t like a topic, you’re free not to participate in it or reply.

If you want to give your disagreeing opinion, it’s possible to do it in a non-aggressive manner.
From the thread:

You’ve been here for two years, so you should know by now that your post was out of line for IMHO.
If you have a problem with another poster or feel the need to use insulting posts against someone, then you open a Pit thread.

“Threadshit” and “hijack” are very tricky words to mix into an argument without creating the appearance of junior modding, although it can be done. But using them both in the same sentence when already in the middle of a profanity-riddled argument with a mod? Priceless.

They got you cold on this one, kid. They might not have called you on the junior modding without the whole context.

If the objection is vulgarity, outlaw vulgarity. If we’re not allowed to be bitchy when another member posts inane things that rub us the wrong way, why bother? Seriously, what’s the point?

Politely disagree? Fuck that. I do that in real life.

Man, I can’t imagine getting as worked up as you did over something I found idiotic and pretty much irrelevant. That’s incomprehensible to me.

There is the Pit. That’s probably where I’d go to be bitchy if I felt the need. That way I could be a world class bitcher and be happy again proving whatever it was I was trying to prove.

Bunch of apologists in here. Drop the incidentals. Consider the charge.

Junior Moderating

Yes or no?

You really like ordering people around, don’t you?

Yes, you were junior modding. You’re still junior modding.

I’ve always pronounced it Tee-hwana myself. Don’t even get me started on Juarez.

Honestly, to me the charge is the incidental. An order to dial it back had already been given and it wasn’t working. At that point, pick your charge, doesn’t matter, you weren’t toning it down. Worrying about if the specific warning was technically correct is just semantics and can’t possibly serve you well no matter what answers people give you.

Is it hwares?

Er, I mean, not Warez?

Fine. Then warn me for being a dick. I admit that I’m not in a good mood and that I might be acting like a dick. I was not trying to be a junior mod, and I think the accusation is more offensive than being called a dick.
