I was going to e-mail bermuda999, but it struck me that he might have been banned (so very many of the old timers have been).
I don’t want to offend the Mods by asking somebody back that might have been canned.

In fact, the mods prefer you to email them about bannings and banned posters. They don’t like to discuss such matters openly, as such discussions seem to draw trolls and socks. We hate trolls and socks.
Profile says member, not banned.
Sometimes when the moderators ban people they leave their status as ‘member’ so as not to draw attention to them… so you can’t always tell by what someone’s profile says.
Oh, and since we’re in the pit- Bosda, what the hell is with your sig? Is that really necessary?

Bermuda999 posts only at the afca group. You might try contacting him, there, but remember: The old-timers from afca can be a rather xenophobic group, and can have a tendency to look down their noses at strangers.
I’m assuming that by his statement about not wanting to offend the mods by asking back a banned poster, he meant that in his E-mail, he’d request bermuda to return.
Is bermuda999 the same person that was bermuda969 on the AOL boards?
I’m pretty sure he was Bermuda999 back on the AOL board, too. Maybe he changed it at some point, but I know I remember seeing him post under that name back when we were still on AOL.
In this context, what is a sock?
A sock is someone with more than one member name. Sometimes they will post under one name, then log on under a different one and argue with their own post. Like a sock puppet I suppose.
A second identity used by the same poster. Search for (and I hope the mods don’t mind this, please delete if you do) WSLer and Muldoon’s Squishiness. They were the same person.
I always wondered why he stopped posting here. He was fairly active on the old AOL board…
