I understand the idea, and why it’s fun…why it’s fun for you that is. Because it’s damn confusing for us clueless males.
Even more so since quite often women who’re interested are actually much more discreet than women who are just flirting. Net result : you assume there’s no hope with the one who was actually hitting on you, and chase the one who was just playful. General dissapointment and/or embarassment ensue.
My ex-fiancée has been saying things like ‘Aren’t you glad you didn’t marry me?’ and ‘If we got married, you’d end up hating me’. Possibly self-depreciating humour, something with which I’m very familiar since I do it myself. But it makes me wonder.
