Was the St Patrick's Day meeting with the Irish prime minister reported in the American Press?

I ask this because a few Irish sites are writing articles about how Enda Kenny “lectured” Trump on his immigration policy. They also claim that American news sites are reporting that Kenny did a good speech that resonated with recent immigrants.

This is a mainly American site, so can I get a fact check on that?

I haven’t seen it widely reported in the states (it has been overshadowed by the Merkel press conference), but yes, several major outlets have covered the meeting (which was actually on Thursday the 16th

Did Kenny really call Saint Patrick an immigrant though? Because shades of Ben Carson; Patrick was a slave.

My quick look suggests that US sources cannot competently give the proper phonetics for “taoiseach” though.

Yes, but he escaped, and then many years later returned as a voluntary immigrant.
