Somehow, today’s water cooler session was about sex. One consensus: Men like to have sex after they get out of the shower (all nice & clean) women like to have sex, then have a shower (wash away the “dirty sex”) Any follow up thoughts to share? What’s your opinion?
Sex IN the shower. Save time, try not to slip on the soap.
I’m a woman and I won’t have sex unless I’ve showered/bathed within 30 minutes. If there is the slightest chance I might be dirty or smelly then it ain’t happening. I only shower afterwards if I’m really messy.

Sex in the shower is good, but tends to wash all the natural lube away. Ouch!
As for taking a shower after vs. before, I don’t see it as dirty sex, just sometimes sweaty and smelly.
Before, after, during…is the idea that there’s a time that isn’t good?

Afterward depends, it we are going to stay in bed and sleep, then no. If we are going to get up and go somewhere of course I will shower again.

I would think that this would lead to an inability to just boink whenever the mood strikes, wouldn’t it?
I can think of few things less appealing than having sex with a stinky crotch. GROSS.
As for boinking whenever the mood strikes… the mood hasn’t struck in years. Fucking medication.
Well, if your partner just got back from the gym or perhaps from a triathalon, then yeah, I could understand the need for a shower. But say it’s a Saturday afternoon, and you and your partner haven’t been all that active the whole day (and both of you have already taken your morning showers), then I could see where a shower really wouldn’t be necessary. So it just depends on what the two of you have been doing.
Sex just out of the shower is really nice. There is something about lying naked on the bed with your honey all clean and cool.
But I am one of those guys who prefers my honey not to wash up just to play around. I love her natural aroma and it is very offputting for me if the main flavor I get is ‘eau de soap,’ or the strange sensation of nothingness. It’s like she’s washed away her feminine essence.
Now, I’m not talking 3-day camping trip sans soap. Just normal daily activity. (And for God’s sake, no Serlinesque colognes necessary!)
Regardless of what I’m doing, I don’t feel clean after a few hours. Not “down there” anyway. And if I don’t FEEL clean, there is no way I’m letting someone touch me there. Nope. Not going to happen. I don’t care if he doesn’t mind, I MIND.
Shower afterwards. After a while the, ahem, residue. . . starts to, ahem, smell, ahem, odd. Not to mention the trickling-down-your-leg 15 minutes later sensation.
Wow. I just thank God I am getting some and go for it. I mean, it’s nice when you feel shower fresh, but unless I’ve been running or lifting heavy shit or whatever (which happens all the time) I partake.
Incidentally, I find morning sex to be the most enjoyable, and so I shower afterward to start the day. That sweaty, stinky sex smell is not fun, I would be terrified my professors would look up as I walk in and sniff loudly. But hey, go with the flow. It’s sex, and I’m just happy to be there.

I agree with you Opal. If I am not comfortable and at ease ( and I’m not unless I know that everything has been washed first) I won’t be able to relax and enjoy it. If I can’t enjoy it why should I even bother.
Lion doesn’t care either way, but since he knows it’s an issue for me, he’s always willing to cool his jets for a few minutes while I shower.
