Waste of Ammunition

Frankly, I think I’ve only ever posted in GD once, and won’t normally touch it with a ten-foot poll. So I never noticed the thread.

That place scares me.

Heh. That would be IMHO.

Its a Burger King Turkey Roll for dyslexics.

That’s why you should always have a gun with you.

A factual question from a non gun-owner: to fire 29 rounds from the weapon used in this incident, did the trigger have to be pulled 29 times? The use of the word “sprayed” in the article makes it sound like the trigger was simply held down and a continuous stream of bullets came out.

This made the morning news here in Japan, as many here still vividly remember the Yoshihiro Hattori shooting in Louisiana in 1992 (which actually happened two weeks before Halloween).

Yes, unless:

a) the gun was stolen

b) it was illegally obtained

c) a felon somehow managed to get a law enforcement sign-off on his Form 4 (impossible), the BATFE signed off on it (even more impossible), and this person had around $15,000 to spend on the weapon (hahaha!)

Again, this is what I’m talking about. Between the police and the media, the difference between tightly regulated, genuine full-auto assault rifles and so-called “assault weapons” has been so blurred that it is impossible for the layman to tell the difference. This in turn naturally lends itself to gun bans because they don’t know the difference.
