Virginia ABC stores do that all the time.
We make a drink similar to this, but drop a shot of Jager into it before we drink it. I don’t know who came up with the name, but we call it a “Red-headed Slut” ![]()
My drink of choice is Spotted Cow.
You could also call it the “Cranberry Fuzzy Navel,” or “Fuzzy Cranberry.”
Pour all ingredients into a highball glass with ice cubes. Stir.
Funny you should ask.
I just returned from a party and had a couple Bud Lite with Limes.
Surprisingly and amazingly refreshing.
mmm
I can afford some boxed wine called Sunset Blush.
I hate you.

Last night I had a couple beers (Beck’s and Dos Equis I think) and a sort of ghetto-Greyhound made from Bombay Sapphire and Squirt.
Just now, a glass of dairy delivered milk. A little later, a Hendricks Martini. Stirred. Dirty. I loves my Hendricks!
In the low 90s today, so I had some Electric Lemon/Lime-ade. Hit the spot quite nicely.
My brewski of choice this weekend is Sierra Nevada Torpedo IPA.
Currently indulging in a lovely mudslide with crushed ice, Baileys, vodka, Kahlua, and vanilla & chocolate ice cream.
I am so glad the heat wave broke (I live near NYC).
Is that the same Flor de Cana made in Nicaragua? I picked up a couple of bottles in Managua one time. Excellent stuff.
The wife is not much of a drinker at all, but she adores mudslides, although I don’t think she’s tried it with ice cream. We’ve picked up a certain brand of ready-mixed mudslide. Will have to remember to try that with ice cream. She does like Kahlua and ice cream on its own.
Meanwhile, the shoe is now on the other foot. While you people are downing booze, it’s about 9:30am Sunday morning here, and I’m the one drinking coffee, some sort of Sumatran blend from Starbucks. That linked review of my gin was spot on – no hangover this morning despite it being 94.6 proof.
Had my first ever mojito last night, and my second tonight. Hardly tasted like alcohol at all with all the fresh mint, and I used agave nectar instead of sugar. (Tiny portions, but that is part of non-migraine drinking for me.) Yum!
Old Crow, Wild Turkey and Miller’s (original) ------ which is why I am posting slowly and using spellcheck a LOT.
Two fingers of The Famous Grouse, in one of the crystal glasses someone gave me a while back. Feels like a cut-rate Daddy Warbucks, I does.
Hop Ottin’ IPA by Anderson Valley Brewing Company.
Natty Ice. I’m poor.
a Vinho Verde from Portugal called Gazela. Lightly sparkling, clean, crisp, super-refreshing… I can seriously drink this stuff by the pint. Can’t give it a high enough rating- and it is cheap like borsht!! Go get some and drink it ice cold!
Yes.
Old Crow and Wild Turkey. This man isn’t messing around.
Hey, 5.9% ABV is 5.9% ABV.
I do it with a ratio of 75% vanilla ice cream and 25% chocolate (ish). Of course YMMV, but that produces more of a hint of chocolate then an overwhelming taste, and allows the Baileys and Kahlua to stand out more. And I am also a fan of adding a ton of ice so it’s thicker and I have to use a straw. ;p
Way too much. Mediocre red wine, followed by Guinness.
Followed by thus far a wholly unpleasant morning and some sad attempts to drink some water.
