We have some pub cheese left (jalapeño, and horseradish), and the SO bought some crab dip that we’ve only gone through half of. We can snack on those.
For a game meal, I think I’ll make chili-cheese dogs.

My friend’s wife is from the Seattle area. I believe she got some white salmon and dungeness crabs. I am going to make a bunch of wings tomorrow to take over.
I’m making lots of ridiculous bar food.
Korean fried chicken, beef ribs on the smoker, potato skins, buffalo dip, and some kind of salad sitting off to the side. We’ll only have a few people over, but we’ll be picking for a lot of the afternoon.
Been waiting for this thread, as I didn’t want to start it.
Chex Mix is the main thing I’m doing this year. It’s been too long.
I’m also doing chili dogs and/or frito pies, “queso” dip, and a fruit salad/salsa type thing. I may also do buffalo wings, if I go with only frito pies.
Capital idea. I make tons of this stuff over the holidays, but never really after December. I’ve been toying with the idea of making a batch or two at a different time of the year.
Nachos and applesauce cake.
I will not be watching the Super Bowl, but I am making a pot of chili tomorrow
I messed up my prescriptions and have been off my GERD meds for a week and I am dying from heartburn. And I can’t shake it.
One of The biggest pig-out days of the year, and I am hoping to find some Saltines in mom’s cupboard and suck on those all day.
But I still want to read here about what I’m missing.
There are two absolutes, guacamole and queso. Whatever else happens, happens.
My friends are making a baked potato bar so that one friend has a Paleo option. Also, “meatballs or chili” (please please please let it be meatballs).
I made a dip of two cups mayo, two cups cream cheese, and a dried herb pack. Heart attack in a bowl.
And for dessert, I made peanut butter cheesecake with a Nutter Butter/peanut crust and chopped-up Reese’s cups mixed in.
We’re having a bunch of Chinese families over that have gasp never watched American football. It’s okay, as my wife watched her first quarter 2 weeks ago when the Seahawks multiple miracle occurred. But I digress.

Man, I miss those days of getting up at 6:00am, walking through the snow to the hangout bar, having that first Guinness and breakfast at kickoff in Shanghai, being totally ploughed by noon and game over. Instead I have to suffer though the 12’th man stuff here in Seattle.
Not watching the game, but I’m roasting a turkey. I live alone, but I cook one medium bird per year and divide the meat into smaller packages, to freeze and use as desired.
I splurged at Thanksgiving and bought a free range organic turkey, to see if it’s better enough to justify the higher price.
I’m looking forward to getting some fantastic stock out of the carcass.
Making steak tacos, guacamole, rice and beans and a salad for pregame dinner. Dips and chips for game time snacking and apple crisp for 3rd quarter dessert.
Nachos and not applesauce cake.
