I assume the statute of limitations on rape has not expired and hope that the appropriate prosecutors will investigate and charge the asshole with rape.

If she has the tapes that are claimed in the filing, then a civil sexual harrassment suit is a slam dunk, but getting a rape conviction will be significantly more difficult. All we have is her word against his, on allegations that are not all that recent so beyond a reasonable doubt is going to be a difficult boundary to cross. Unfortunately, I can imagine either a prosecutor or her deciding its not worth the effort to pursue.

So, I find this a bit interesting. If she’s his employee, and her duties seem pretty . . . expansive, then he can allow her to have access to confidential material. Lawyers get to have staff who can access confidential material.
But – was he paying her at all? If her whole “salary” was “deferred” then is she really an employee? Or is she really just a victim of grift and sexual assault? In which case, did he just disclose a ton of confidential material to someone with no duty to not redisclose it?

Seriously. I mean, there are a lot of jobs that I’m not fully qualified for that I might take a crack at for $1 million salary. That would in no way make me deserve or in any way subject to sexual harassment and sexual assault.
Our culture is so deeply steeped in assigning women their worth based on their looks and sexual behavior it’s an awful long climb out. Too far for some I suppose?

Trump, and now Giuliani, are finding it is the “unfortunately” side of the balance beam. Finally.
Her story is very similar to the stories of women in cults who have been selected to work for and service high level members. The cult becomes their work, their personal life, their everything and they do anything they have to do to maintain their membership. I’m willing to bet that she was steeped in MAGA philosophy and really wanted to be in the inner circle of the movement.
They also used the prosperity cult trick of promising her large amounts of imaginary riches at some undefined point in the future, and deepened their abuse and coercion as her sunk costs accumulated.
I realize it seems unbelievable that any adult woman with agency would fall for Rudy’s bullshit, but if you view him as a high level cult leader it starts to make sense.
Also, Rudy is seriously insane, to the point where I’m not sure it can all be blamed on his addiction to alcohol and right wing media. I think his Russian aligned pals in Eastern Europe have bern slipping microdoses of hallucinogenic drugs into his Scotch.
