I’m so sorry for your loss. I still miss all the companions I’ve had, but try to think that the care and love I gave to them brought them extra happiness while they were with us.

Our cat just died last week as well. She was 17. I think I was sort of desensitized to it because I’ve been away at school for the past 4 years and only got to see her when I was home on breaks, but I almost lost it when on Easter my mom showed me the place in the yard where they buried her. I suppose it helped that I spent most of the day at different grandparents’ places, where they have 5 cats at one and 2 at the other.
As soon as I have a place of my own that allows pets, I’m totally going to the SPCA and adopting a kitten.
