We got'sch PUPPIES!

Happy Birthday, carnut!

I love how happy she looks being a mama! Who’s a good girl?!

Yes happy birthday @carnut and pups, of course!!:tada::tada::tada:

Today’s pic of Shimmer and the four puppies sleeping.

The puppies have grown so much so quickly that my landlady has already replaced the color ribbons she gave them immediately after birth.

I have a definitive answer to this question now from last year.

Noelle was artificially inseminated a short time ago, but we don’t know yet if she’s pregnant with her fourth litter. It’ll be hard to tell; she’s kinda big as it is.

Is she a registered dog? I don’t know the rules for show dog breeds, but a racing thorughobred horse has to be inseminated naturally, stallion to mare.

I’m not sure, but it’s not the first time my landlady has done artificial insemination, and she’s open about it, so I assume it doesn’t disqualify.

It’s probably sampling error, but it looks like the puppies sleep individually. The (just two) litters of kittens I took care of tended to form piles and clumps.

More pictures, please!

My parents raised huskies, German shepherds, and English bulldogs, and all the puppies slept in piles. I often wondered how the ones on the bottom breathed, but that’s where they all most liked to be.

They’re sleeping in herds.

They do sleep in herds.

So cute, especially Mom. She looks so proud.

So fat

Jurassic dogs?

@Baker understood that reference.

MOAR PUPPIES!

Shimmer understands the assignment.

Look at them fat tails. So cute

I took some more pictures today which I’ll post tomorrow, but I wanted to share this news:

Another of our landlady’s dogs, Woo, is in season, and we’ve brought in a handsome boy named Lance to breed her. And to tell them apart at a glance, there’s a necktie on Lance’s collar, and it’s so cute.

Woo, more cuteness to come! Thanks @ekedolphin !
