We interrupt your regularly scheduled MMP to bring you this Early TV Mockumentary

…and this is just gratuitous becuz I wanted to be firstest on seven! :stuck_out_tongue:

So I’m guessin’ we’re all hopin’ Taters was well and truly appreciated?

Good Mornin’ Y’all!!! Up and caffienatin’ here. I’m even all purtified for work. Ima leave in a bit to go meet ol’ y’all know who for brekkies at that wondrous fine dinin’ establishment known as Three Squares Diner. JoeDawg has had his brekkies and is bein’ forced to endure some couch time before he has to go to jail (that’s the bathroom with the doggy gate up) whilst I’m out of da cave. Fear not though cause Ima go do some stuff for a little while at work this mornin’ and then come home and do some work from da cave. I’m also workin’ tomorrow for a while but from da cave so that ain’t too bad. Two-three hours which I’ll do in the mornin’.

Ok, gonna go seek more caffiene then off to breakfast.

cb I’ll “examine” yer prostate. C’mere!

Later Y’all!

::stumbles in, half-asleep::

I’m not sure that I’m quite awake yet.

Four lunches today and then I MUST find my other key ring. You know, the one with house keys for my house, TVMans’, and about 4 of my friends’ homes.

Silly, Pie, your key ring is right there where you left it. No…not there, a little to the right.

Amazing how distracting it can be when someone says/writes something innaccurate.

Extremely cool news, though, gotti. It amazes me how much energy people will waste kicking up a fuss about “issues” that are none of their business.

Very cute Nat pics, LiLi!

I’m technically off work today, but am going in for a one-hour meeting at 10. It bugged me that I was going to miss it and didn’t have anyone to send, so I figured I’d organize my errands around it.

Speaking of which… off to get started on the day.

GT

Up and off to work again.

blrf mrfl
it’s dreary and rainy and I donwanna go to work today - but I gotta - I have a chance to actually finish a project I started last week.

But, and I well and truly hate this, I AM BLOCKED AGAIN!!!

G’mornin’, Mumpers, and a Happy Firday to all!

Hopefully I’ll only have to work a half day today. I’ve got a million things to do before we fly to Denver, but I have to finish up some stuff here at work.

It just occured to me last night that I might should get my brother a gift of some sort. Is that appropriate for this occasion. (He’s being commissioned as Naval Chief Warrant Officer 02.) What the hell should I get him? It’s too late to get anything personalized. What do y’all think? We’re not big gift givers anyway - even at birthdays and Christmas. This is a hugely special day though. I was thinking about some kind of glass paperweight or something similar, so when he looks at it he would think about me and the day I gave it to him. Is that stupid? Arrgghh!

Ok - better get to gettin’…

Drive-by…

Zoom zoom!

Morning all, up, caffeinated sufficiently (heh) and a very happy Firday to all.

That is a very cute pic of HRH, and even cuter when FCM lolkidded it! Heh! She really is a Her Royal Highness.

I’m off today and it’s not raining too much … so we’re off to run errands shortly. Will be doing more tomorrow, since it’s supposed to be nice, and then on Sunday we’ll head to a local farmer’s market.

Rosie, my work had un-blocked SDMB earlier this week, but it was blocked again yesterday afternoon, so I’m completely sympathetic. I just don’t understand why sometimes it’s un-blocked!

And woot! Taters got some appreciatin’!

I feel an overwhelming need to bake bread.

Does anyone else get that sort of weird cooking craving?

Driving Husband didn’t come by yesterday, because he pnoned and I didn’t pick up. For the love of Mike, people, if I don’t pick up it’s probably because I’m pinned by the kid!!! I’m at home! Except for trips to the library!

So he’s coming today. Sometimes in the afternoon. probably.
(Doesn’t comment on how often this week she’s gotten appreciated)

Yes to the sudden[del] cooking[/del] baking cravings, but rarely do I get a chance to fully indulge.

<waves as she goes by>

Grr. Hiss.

I’m going to Grandfather Mountain this weekend. I do not know where I will be sleeping tonight, though. I’ve been trying to call my Gay Boyfriend up in the Village of Ashes, but he hasn’t answered his voicemail. I may have to stop at my dad’s place tonight or leave tomorrow and go up the mountain on Saturday. But I will go to Grandfather Mountain this weekend. This is the only weekend off I’ll have until July-abouts (I have to work Memorial Day weekend) and I want to spend it out of town. I’ve already emailed ahead and took Monday off, and I’m gonna use it.

LiLi, you look EXACTLY the same as I remember. It’s been nearly 10 years, woman! How can you still look 20? Either you really are a vampire, or maybe it’s just that those half-Asian genes at work.

Rebo, a paperweight might be nice, assuming he uses such things. Otherwise, I would probably go with a really fancy-shmancy type of pen or maybe a nice keychain (something Navy-themed, I guess?) - he’d probably get some use out of either one, and they’d make a nice reminder of you.

It’s Firday! And a long weekend! Sadly, the forecast for the weekend looks crappy, which blows because I really was looking forward to spending some time outside and doing more gardening. :frowning:

Also, MIL and BIL and hopefully-future-SIL are coming for brunch on Sunday. I’m not sure what to make… hopefully inspiration will strike soon, because as much as I love entertaining, I’m a total mess if I don’t prep in advance (also, BIL is a bit of a picky eater and MIL is somewhat restricted in terms of her diet due to Crohn’s).

Good Firday mawhnin, y’all!!! This day can’t go quick enough for me.

li-li, I just love the pic of Mr. Lissar and Gnat! It is awwww-dorable!

taters, so how’d the 'preciating go?? Tee, hee.

Well, I got my second round of glasses yesterday. Since the progressives didn’t work for me, I opted for simple bifocals with an additional pair of computer/reading glasses. The computer/reading glasses are working fine…way more functional for eight hours a day/five days a week sitting at a computer at work. The bifocals, meh, not so much. I really don’t need them for driving and they make my eyeballs ache. I will try to get used to them and see what happens.

I think tonight is pizza and puppies.

Tupug

Thank you. I’m, oh, twenty-five pounds heavier. Or so. I don’t actually remember what I weighed when I was nineteen, except that it was less. And I think Mr. Lissar is cute, too, Pugs. Thanks.

The baby’s cute, too. He was all shouty because he couldn’t fit one of the cats in his mouth. Everything should fit! He needs to chew on the whole world!

Oh, I forgot- Mahna, is the cousin with the baby the cousin I knew? If so, tell her hi and congrats!

I thought my last payday was May 1, but it turns out it was May 15. Yay for unexpected money! (And thank heavens, heh.)

The Guy is going to be away for the weekend, boo. Maybe I’ll go watch Prince Caspian today.

Good. I just hear so many people talking about dieting and they overdo it and practically starve themselves for a short time and then they can’t take it any more and overdo the other way and end up without losing any weight and they get discouraged and give up. It sounds like you’re on the right track and are making sustainable changes, which is the way to go. Good for you!

And yay for the appreciatin’. :stuck_out_tongue:

OMG yes! Why else would I have a whole pan (ok, an almost-full pan 'cause we ate waaaay more than we needed to last night) of the Lesbian Chocolate Gingerbread?? And how else could one explain the fact that I’ve brought some sort of food or another in to work every week for about the last month and a half?

Anyway, Haze, the aforementioned LCG was AWESOME! The edges were a bit dry, but we persevered and ate our way past those and got to the soft, moist center and… mmmmmmmmmm. (Get yer minds outta the gutters! I’m talking about the cake!)

Smartie, I’m a cook-by-instinct kind of person so I can follow what you said and experiment and make it my own. I’ll have to try that soon! Thanks!

Today’s Moving Day at work. We’ve got to be packed up and out by noon. But we can leave any time our desk is completely packed. So… it’s 10 a.m. and I think I’m outta here! YAY! Have a good weekend!!

Glad you liked it, taxi! Yes, the soft, moist center is the best part. Especially when it’s still warm. Heh. (It’s hard to get the entire cake that way. One way I used to do it was to separate the batter into two cake pans. It seemed to cook more evenly that way.)

LiLi, I go through phases. For the past few weeks I haven’t done any cooking at all, except for the odd batch of cookies. Now that I’ve stocked up my kitchen again I’m ready to cook up a storm. Tuna and arugula pasta for dinner tonight!

I’m home with some work stuff to do. It’s all cloudy here again. This better mean rain!

JoeDawg has had his mandatory treats and is now bein’ subjected to couch time. Discipline must be maintained at all costs. We simply cannot have a spoiled chee-hoo-ah-hoo-ah now can we?

Today’s weirdness…

A goose has taken a liking to the pool. Yep. A goose. Mr. or Ms. goose was out in the pool swimmin’ around and honkin’ when I got home. It’s a strange thing to hear HONK HONK HONK from one’s backyard when one pulls into one’s driveway. So, I investigated and sho’ ‘nuff there’s a goose in the pool. I turned on the Polaris which Mr. or Ms. goose did not like thus causin’ him or her to fly away. A goose. That’s a first.

There’s a big box of “wishiwasnthereitis” right next to me. The coffee is barely working, I have a headache, DH is again angry at the world, it’s warm in here, and my ear itches.

On the plus side, Invisible Tenant knows what to do about the grinding noise, and will fix it today.
