We’re FINALLY got married on October 1.

After being together almost 28 years, my partner and I finally tied the knot. October 1 was a major birthday for both of us (70 for me, 50 for him), so we decided it was a good date to formalize our relationship. We had a simple civil ceremony. Due to my temporary physical problems, we decided to postpone our honeymoon for a while. Instead, we went and saw *The Martian *in 3D (loved it). So I guess you could say we honeymooned on Mars.

Congratulations, panache45!!

You have shared about your relationship and partner for years - how compatible you are and have been for decades. Nice to hear you can, and did, make it “official”

Congratulations!

Congratulations - and happy belated birthday - to you both!

Congrats to both of you!

My deepest congratulations and felicitations.

We got married in April after 23 years, so I have some notion of how this is.

Question: my spouse doesn’t like to use the word “husband” for either one of us because it feels too much like there should be a “wife” to go with it. (But then English is not his first language either). So I am reduced to using “spouse” to please him (which then makes it sound to other people like I am not being straightforward about the situation). Does this issue come up for you?

Well, I know it isn’t kittens and puppies, but… no pics??

Seriously though, many congratulations, and tonight I’ll raise my glass to you two and to many happy years to come.
