Well, just look at all the doomcrying and end-of-the-world and America-is-fucked-fucked-I-tell-you stuff from 2008 that turned out to be right at the end of Barack HUSSEIN Obama’s term!
Oh… never mind…

Can we please have Barry back for a couple more terms?
Says the person supporting the neo-fascist candidate. The person who rather suspiciously has an 88 in their username.
I rather strongly suspect that you hate Hillary so much because she* won’t* fulfill the Trumpites’ fantasies of an ethnic cleansing campaign against brown people.
It could be worse. Trump might get elected. Then we’ll have to resort to eating out of dumpsters. Oh, wait.
With the tonal shift of these threads, I think they’re finally moving on to the Acceptance stage.
Let’s be freakin’ honest here. If you thought that Obama and Bill Clinton were bad presidents, Hillary will probably be somewhere in-between them. If you thought that Obama and Bill Clinton were good presidents, Hillary will probably still be somewhere in-between them.
Trump, once all the election silliness is over, might have the potential to be a good president. But the downside potential is catastrophic. New levels of bad. Dogs and cats living together, etc., etc.
The future of American agriculture is assured. The OP is so full of shit that we can grow wheat on bare rock. Which is good because that’s what the OP has in place of brains.
While I agree the guy is being shitty, he’s revealed long ago that the 88 has to do with his year of birth (or something like that–I don’t remember exactly). And has not seen especially Nazi-like since.
I also seem to remember him being on the autism spectrum, but I may be mistaking him for someone else.
Also, he’s generally said he doesn’t actually support Trump. He just really, really hates Clinton.
There is giong to be widespread unemployment coming in the next few decades due to advances in robotics and AI. I’m sure people will blame whatever political party is in power or that they disagree with for this. But I don’t think the timeline for that is 2017-2020. This is more the 2020s and 2030s when we will see this, and IMO by 2040 barely 1 in 4 adults will be employed (maybe 50-60 million jobs in a nation that’ll be pushing 400 million people).
As long as republicans can tell their base that they are the smartest, most talented, hardest working, most authentically ‘Americans’ out there they will continue to vote GOP. Just keep dog whistling that conservative whites from small towns are the most superior segment of the US, that alone will get them 30 million votes each election.
If you can convince the lowest white man he’s better than the best colored man, he won’t notice you’re picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he’ll empty his pockets for you. - LBJ
Given the age he’s been claiming, he had to have been born in '39 or so.
You gotta admit, it makes a refreshing change from being told that city people are the only people that matter—see the article I linked to upthread.
[sigh] … four more years of freeway repairs … four more years of low interest rates … four more years of Taco Tuesdays … I’m too depressed to even pack and move to the Republic of Povertonia.
Sorry, I’d love to be terrified by your compelling prediction about Hillary, but I’m too busy laughing at the same predictions Republicans made about Obama 8 years ago.
The real threat is Republican obstructionists trying to make their own claims of disaster come true again (assuming they retain enough control to do so). But we survived it somehow for the past 6 years.
That’s my take as well, although I’d say more like a “not bad” president than a “good” president. The very best scenario would be that he’d halfheartedly push a mostly conservative agenda with some populist and/or liberal ideas thrown into the mix, and listen to his advisors when they tell him a plan is stupid. But he could also aggressively pursue a far-right agenda, see how far he can push executive power (putting other recent Presidents to shame), and start catastrophic wars.
It’s difficult to tell, so voting for Hillary is a no-brainer since, no matter how bad she may seem, she won’t get anything accomplished since the House won’t flip. I mean, I personally don’t think she has a bad agenda, but that’s a moot point. Whereas if Trump wins, the GOP would retain control of the Senate and so he might (or might not!) successfully pursue bad ideas in concert with the GOP.
Speaking of predictions, won’t Hillary Clinton be surprised when she tries to confiscate all our guns in her first week in office and finds out that Barack Obama already confiscated them in his first week in office and we’ve been a gunless nation these last eight years?
Some things will get better, some things will get worse.
Hillary will be blamed for everything that gets worse, and everything that gets better will be ignored.
Not saying that this doesn’t leave room for another demagogue to try to take political power, but that’s because enough of our population takes it’s lead from doomsayers like yourself that they vote against both their own interest, and the interest of a secure, peaceful, and prosperous nation.
Not a chance; he ruins anything he touches. He couldn’t do a good job to save his life, nor is he likely to try.
And the horrific far-right agenda he’s pushing guarantees it would be a disaster anyway. Torture and murder disqualify someone as a good President.
Dude, I think you need to stop eating garbage. Spoiled food can mess up your brain sometimes.
